It's pricey, but good fun. I enjoyed the boat ride both ways. Sitting at the back of the "sea panda" gets you a refreshing spray once in a while. You'd think with so much sea water around the seals would take a bath, but. Being down wind of the island proved otherwise

Ok so boat trips are not for everyone, and if you suffer from motion sickness then you should either consider eating oranges before heading out (apparently they taste the same coming up as they do going down) or just relaxing at Saveur restaurant whilst your friends go and have a great time on the water. Also a word of warning... More

They're not cheap, these guys, but the service and experience means I'll look them up again next time I'm in town. Booking through their website was seamless, the made sure to SMS a few hours before the trip to confirm that good weather conditions meant the trip was going ahead and we departed bang on time. We went in the... More

I booked with the Boat Company to experience the whales that are in False Bay this time of year. Booking and payment were a breeze. Even when my first booking time was cancelled, they were quick to book me on the next available tour. The boat captain took us all around the bay. We did not see a huge number... More

We decided to take the afternoon trip with David and Annise to extend our marine experiences having been booked on to the wonderful Apex Natural PredationExpedition. Apparently this is low season for whales but we saw at least 5 Southern Right whales and hundreds of dolphins. Whales are clearly putting in an early appearance as we have also now seen... More

Were going for the trip to sealisland but as the weather was unpredictable, the owner advised to rather go on a whalewatchtour (longer duration and on a boat with an in- and outside), so we did. We left on time and after not too long, we saw lots of whales! The skipper and his co-worker were very informative and kind.... More

On the 2.5-hour, morning boat tour around False Bay we were lucky enough to have calm weather and also sight some Brydes whales, large pod of doplhins and seals. Though the whales were a little shy, the dolphins were right next to the boat - magical! The trip was made even more interesting by the crews handle on the local... More

Firstly, this is our very first time to SA so we didn't know what to expect. What we got was the most genuine welcoming hospitality from 'Captain Dave' and his crew, from the initial booking through to our return to Simons Town. I can't swim but then I didn't plan on falling into the sea ! The seas were a... More

NOTE: The rating I selected does not apply in this case but I was obligated by the software to select one and "N/A" was not a choice. We stayed in Simon's Town three nights planning to doing a couple of water activities, namely kayaking and visiting the seals with this company. Unfortunately, our three attempts got cancelled the morning of... More

Dear Clara Many thanks for your review. We appreciate your understanding that comfort & safety is our prime concern. Hopefully the sea conditions will be better should you decide to join us in the future. As a matter of interest, we operate on average 80% of days per year & it’s just unfortunate that you were here over a windy... More
