Wonderful day

I love to kayak and got up early to go to Simon's town to go kayaking. The guides were great. The kayaks were wonderful and the penguins put on a show. It was a great time.

Great trip out into the harbor--seals, penguins, and lots of humor--all while seeing the Cape from a new vantage point.

We are fairly aged (husband 76) we went Kyaking with Derek very well organised and on time with clear instructions on what to do. We went around the outside of the harbour to the Penguins at Boulders. Derek whose other name is Help was very sympathetic to our slow progress and took us in tow for the last bit. Thoroughly... We are just 60 and were accompanied by an older lady, who kayaks on Lake Victoria. This is a great experience led by experts who, throughout the trip, gave us interesting and entertaining facts about Simon's Town and the penguins. This is for someone who enjoys doing something different and exciting and great fun.

We arrived a little late after our 2 hour train trip into SImon's town( don't belive the train schedule that says its a 70min trip, times varies according to weather and stoppage times)...They were patient, all the tourists were engaging. Sandy has the best stories bout kelp, kenya and permaculture, and they take photos of you so you have time... More

The guides where chatty, fun and knowledgeable about, not only the penguins, which we saw swim right past our kayak, but also about the history of the area and natural wildlife, flora and fauna of the area. It was a cloudy day but we still enjoyed every moment of the trip. It was great that there was a pit stop... More

We went out on New Years Day and what a fantastic time we had. Jeff was very helpful and patient with us not knowing our left from our right. Although we didn't feel confident enough to paddle to the penguins the "scenic" trip was just has enjoyable. Will definitely be returning for another trip.

We went out with Derek and Jeff for a visit to Boulders Beach and the penguin colony. They were incredibly well-organized and well-prepared. They made it fun and easy, and even helped with a little tow when my kids' slow paddling wasn't keeping up with the group. It was wonderful to get out on the water and get so close... More
