I had read about this amazing tea emporium and was eagerly looking forward to tasting the different blends of rooibos, but sadly, the shop was closed and my wish remains unfulfilled! Surely in this day and age, it would be possible to inform potential visitors of the 2 months temporary closure of the shop on social media? They have a FB site... why not use it?…

The shop offers free Rooibos (famous african red bush tea) tasting, around 10 different flavours. Good variety of loose leave and packaged teas. I love rooibos so I bought a lot! Also I bought some biltong and the best dry mango I ever tried in South Africa. They've got some interesting souvenirs/artifacts as well - not cheap but I didn't see that kind of stuff anywhere else. Worth a visit.…

A very unique, one of a kind Rooibos tea store located in the Southern Peninsula of Cape Town, in Simon's Town. Besides buying, you can actually get familiar with the tea & try some samples! This store has many other products besides the South African Rooibos tea...liquors made out of tea extracts are a real treat! Honeybush & Buchu, for instance! Where in the world could you possibly find tea like that?! The Best Of South Africa has a big range of tea to choose from. Even gift sets for friends & family. A variety of nuts, also for you to taste & buy is sold at the store. Dried antelope meat ( biltong ) - very delicious, is also available there!! My favourite of all has to be the dried mangos, healthy & best of all - affordable. Just by the way, if you didn't have enough time to purchase gifts to take home with you, well, it's called " the Best of SA" for a reason.....There are great souvenirs too!!! Lovely service, warm atmosphere & a cozy store itself. I seriously recommend Everyone to visit the store! The owners give you a little pamphlet to take home with you, with interesting information about the tea. The owners are super friendly, always ready to assist you. I advice you to visit the store, because of all the stores I've been to, I give the Best of SA first place!!! Take a peace of South Africa home with you! Stop by, you won't regret it!!!…
