What an experience! We opted to see Boulders Beach from the sea and I am so glad we did! We were able to have incredible views of the penguins, seals and even were hoping by 2 whales!!! Oh and then we were greeted back on the beach by some baboons! Wow! Terry was our guide and was phenomenal, passionate and knowledgeable. We booked our tour through AWOL adventures who then connected us with Shark Warrior. This was the most perfect day to experience everything at Boulders beach. I wish we had more time to do diving/snorkeling with Shark Warrior… we will save that for our next trip. I would not have wanted to do this any other way. Thank you!!

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! Terry is so knowledgable about penguins and his care and warmth come thru during the whole trip. We had a group of baby penguins swim right by our kayaks! I also saw seals, two kinds of jellyfish, birds and the water was absolutely perfect. I learned so much about the history of the penguins and how to support the penguins continued existence in Cape Town. This trip is a unique way to experience the wildlife and Simon's Town itself is also a really cute place to grab some lunch afterwards. Highly recommend!

Wow what an amazing experience we had with our guide Terry. He was so knowledgeable and passionate not only about the penguins, but the whole ecosystem. He answered many questions about the penguins, sharks, orcas, climate change and anything else you wanted to know.

I left Terry wanting to stay and help them anyway I could. I'd like to also acknowledge the local lad (I forgot his name) who assisted Terry. Very smiley and courteous and professional.
Thoroughly recommend.

What can I say except get booking. Our experience on Sunday with Terry our guide was so memorable. His knowledge and passion was infectious and educational as well. We all have a part to play in saving our marine life. This is the company who are at the the forefront of trying to make much needed changes in the area. The penguins were fascinating. You don’t need any kayak experience as the team take care of you so well and explain everything. Thank you thank you Terry and your colleagues for all that you do. We will be back.

Kayaking to view the penguins - what's not to like. Our guide was incredibly informative, and clearly passionate about conservation efforts for the penguins. We booked this excursion through a guide service and it went off without a hitch. Definitely worth doing.

The operator cancelled without any word to us. We drove over an hour to get to the site, just locked up and no answer. Disappointed guests , what shocking service. Disgusted

The customer was informed that the trip had in fact been cancelled, due to wind and they did not receive the message. They were fully refunded and thanked me at the end of it and they said they will be back!

I phoned twice on 6 January 2022 to book a family snorkeling trip in False Bay. Each time I was told that they would phone back with a booking once they had confirmed their availability and the weather.

It is now 21h57 on 7 January 2022 and I am still waiting for their callback.

This is very disappointing as they had been recommended by a friend for good snorkeling.

Overall very disappointing and unprofessional service

This was really a wonderful experience. I love Penguins and it was great to see a little of them in their natural environment and from a different perspective. Terry is very passionate about the Penguins and what he does.

The first day I was scheduled, the weather was not good and we couldn’t go out. It was totally out of their control and to have gone in the windy weather probably would not have been much fun. Instead of saying sorry and just sending us on our way, Terry took some time and took us on a guided walk along the coastline to show us the Penguins. I thought that was great customer service and I learned more about the Penguins.

I rescheduled to come back a later day and the person I was traveling with could not come. Again, Terry handled everything wonderfully. The communication was great and handled professionally.

I arrived and Terry went through everything, including what I hoped to see and my kayaking experience. We got in the water and got going.

I saw plenty of Penguins and it was great to see them in the water. Terry was very knowledgeable and explained their behavior.

After watching Penguins for a while we landed on shore and checked out some tide pools. We got back on the water and made our way to an island with a seal colony to watch them for a while. Then we made our way back to the beach. It was a great experience.

There are some other kayak operators in the area and I saw a couple of them on the water. I chose this experience based on their reviews and because they were closer to the Penguin colony. The other operator is based in the local harbor and they seemed to just go back and forth along the shore, so I think they spend a fair amount of time paddling to and from the harbor rather than watching Penguins, seals, etc. And most of all the other tours don’t have Terry and his experience and passion about the Penguins, kelp forests, and other wildlife. Next time I’m in the area I’d gladly go paddling with Terry again and there’s some other great snorkeling trips they offer I want to do. Take a trip with Terry, you won’t be disappointed.

We have 4 boys, ages 11-5. We took the morning Kayak trip and had a blast!! We learned so much about about the South African Penguins! Terry was great with our boys, challenging them in their kayak navigation skills and knowledge of the ocean and it’s wildlife. He really has a passion for what he does and it’s infectious! We highly recommended it!!!
