I went there on my own because I really wanted to do a hike and my boyfriend didn't. I rented a tuk tuk from Klong Muang beach and went to the entrance (i googled before to know where exactly it was - google maps “Start/Finish...More
This was a beautiful hike. Totally worth it for the views at the end. We read other reviews and went earlier (arrived at 9am) and there wasn't too much people traffic. It would be a little more challenging if it was a busy trail since...More
Make sure you have plenty of time for the hike. A long slow journey up will be better. The trail is very steep in parts and the hiking is strenuous. For someone like me I would take 3 liters of water, some snacks, bug spray,...More
This truly does take 2.5 hours each way (up and down), so plan accordingly. Truly wisest to start by 9:30am at the latest; if you hit rain the hike will be longer. This is an absolutely gorgeous hike, but if you have any knee, ankle...More
This is a very tough hike. Me and my husband are in our late fifties, overweight, not very fit, but used to walking in the Welsh hills near where we live. We decided to try this trail because we were staying at the Amari Vogue...More
So I dont do many reviews any more but thought I would do a full explanation as these are answers I wanted before I did the trip.
First of what do you need to take? I would suggest 2L of water, bug spray, a change...More
I trekked up the mountain with two friends in rainy season but it didn’t rain and was hot and VERY humid. We saw reviews saying the trek was really easy....we disagreed.
It could possibly be the down to us being unfit, but we saw some...More
Went solo but met a tremendous friend who went up with me. 1H motorcycle ride from Ao Nang followed by a tiring 2.5H hike up. Covering ~ 550M vertically and 5Km horizontal (for a 1 way up). Bring plenty of water, go in the early...More
it was 2 hrs hiking to the top but the views were absolutely amazing, you can see small islands from the top, although go with comfortable trainers do not try to go with slippers and pls take some water because you will really need it

Please check the weather and avoid at all costs if its rainy because the trek is slippery at many spots. hiking solo is not a problem at all, it is a very short trek. do not forget to carry a few energy bars and a bottle of water as there is no provision of both at anywhere throughout the trek and also no such provisions at the top. A guide is not required at all as you will find many travellers coming back while you go up, they will provide ample guidance and cheer. Any communication with the park authority over facebook or email is not required at all. it is a very short trek but a bit demanding physically.
