Dhammayazika is a very nice, isolated temple. It is especially impressive from the balloon and from the distance because of the golden pagoda surrounded by an intense red colour. The pagoda rests on three hexagonal terraces. This is a very unique temple's characteristic. It has...More

We visited this temple as our last stop before returning to our hotel in New Bagan. The temple started to light up when the sky turned dark. The stupa on top of the temple looks like glowing jewel at night which enhance the aesthetic view...More

Standing bit isolated from the others, this Pagoda stands apart due to its bright red brick color and the massive dome that can be seen from far. It has five sides. You should go here towards the evening as you can watch sunset from two...More

We visited this new pagoda on the advice of our hotel staff. It was located in a quiet surrounding, but very beautiful. Did not like the modern day tiles fixed. No where by any means related to pagoda. By colours used

This solid huge pagoda is also one of the best in Bagan. You can walk outside this huge complex. In the inside there is only 1 Buddha to see. Unfortunately the roof was under construction due to the recent earthquake.

This is a large pagoda. The gold stupa was covered by a network of bamboo canes, presumably because a restoration of the gold-plating was due or in progress. The brickwork is of various hues: red, yellow and brown. It is a bit rough in places,...More

This is pagoda built in 1100. Similar to the ones you see in Bagan. However, what stands out are the paintings of Buddha's past lives found here. Very tranquil place.

Again one fantastic temple in Bagan. The best thing to do is to hire a guide. The guide can explain everything and you get a grip what's specific for each temple.

This pagoda is currently under renovation. But there is a pagoda right next to it where you may climb up to view sunset. Where you can view sunset/sunrise is subject to change and please check with the visitor center, hotel staff, or your guide for...More
