This place is full of history with significance. The four Buddha's have their own stories. Our guide explained the details as we walked around. Don't just walk around without understanding all that this temple represents.

yes, you need a scooter - it's a huge area with all this fantastic temples - pagodas - stupas; get you a map and it is easy to find the road to all this important Temples. There is not to much traffic in Old Bagan...More

The most beautifull temple in bagan is Ananda!! Words are not enough to describes this temple.. you can take great picture at little pool in corner!!

This is one of the most famous tample in Bagan. I dont suggest you thr tour, you can rent a motorbike and see a lot of tamples following a map.

This Buddhist temple has beautiful structure and is one of four main temples in Bagan. We had great shots in this area. The interest thing that you can find in almost temple in Bagan is dogs and doves

This temple is one of the biggest in the whole of bagan and it is made completely out of sand stone. You can take great pictures of the temple at the little pool in the corner

Everyone visiting Bagan MUST visit Ananda! It is beautiful and unique and you could easily spend several hours wandering around inside and outside. Do not miss this one!

Twice of the half of total. LOL. You should better contact to the Trusteeship council of Ananda Temple to get the exact info.

As you follow the google maps (key word: Ananda) to the nearby area, look around and you will find a red-gold-ish temple tower from far away (that was how I found it and told my friends when all of them were busy looking... More
