Gunongan Park was built as a playground for the Princess Phang, the wife of Sultan Iskandar Muda. The gate keeper allowed us to enter the building and climb the stairs..beautiful!!! It is very close to Museum Tsunami.

It's monument of love from the Sultan to his Wife. To go up the monument is a bit 'tricky'. Steps are huge and not easy to climb tough

This was built by Sultan Iskandar Muda for his young and homesick wife Putri Pahang who was from Malaysia. Gunongan is an interesting place worth visiting! A love symbol! There is a legendary history behind this landmark.
