It is a fantastic view! Really looks surreal. Though, the entrance going here is very pricey due to government entrance fees and taxes especially if you are a non-resident. Better to plan to stay here with their campsite for a couple of days to maximize....More

I would just like to add a rider to this. Lake Chala is still open to day trippers and self contained campers. Despite contact with them, I still cannot access the Booking.com account, so please contact us directly at lakechala@gmail.com

Its actually a place were people can go relax and have some time with nature and to add on that this place is meant for wildlife photographers.

Lake chala is a crater lake which part of it found in Taveta kenya and the other part in tanzania..an attractive place to take selfies and pics.A place to visit.It has several down water channels. its a fresh water lake
