Knowledgable guides although they could have been slightly more interactive. Snacks were provided on the boat as well as wetsuits and masks. Great white sighting guaranteed- which made the experience incredible! Visibility, however, is poor.

Simply ridiculous. A scam. Visibility was 30 cm or 20 cm. There was a tiny scared shark, they said it was a 2 m great white, looked like a 60 cm shark to me. You could see this animal from the boat twice for 3 or 2 seconds, too short for a pic. They are so unfriendly they did not even talk a single word to me but "credit card or cash" when I entered the run down place. I was so surprised that she had to repeat it so that is six words in 5 or 6 hours. I thought when I say good morning they would alsonsaybhim no. I was not addressed once while on the boat. I got very bored.. When I told the guy because of boredom about my planned skydive he said "he could not take me for a tandem jump", really thinking I was into him???? Crazy. Guess other tourists never talk to him? But the worst part was that they exactly knew we had absolutely no chance to see a shark in the cage with a visibility that lets you see an ugly dead fish head for 1 second they use to attract the shark if you are lucky right before your eyes. He then said after two hours we can stop now as he "found out" ???!! the shark would have to bite into the cage for you to see it. The cage is very very old and I think it's unsafe. The shark could bite off your toes and fingers. How can they construct it so badly I thought. I left the cage first as it clearly was ridiculous and a scam. 3 more intelligent or more scared people did not enter the cage. I never thought this could happen, they knew 100 per cent that we could see nothing. I somehow felt in advance that it would not work. If you are not excited they say they throw you in as food for sharks. Not to me as they did not talk to me but to others who did not appear excited enough. "Cash or credit card". Great conversation for 6 hours. She did not even say "sign this" but just pointed to her right, extremely rude. When I said what shall I do, she did not answer. Another guest had to tell me what she meant by pointing somewhere. Sign a form that they are not responsible if you die. I said I have no dive mask and she still said nothing. So another tourist said that I cannot go then. However it's on their web page that you don't need a mask. As noone corrected the pretty nasty tourist (I thought she was the guide) I nearly drove home. Just don't trust them and check the visibility, although I do not know how I could have checked the visibility 30 min away from the shore. I do not know if this shark was a great white or they just said so, I think it was another kind of shark. It seemed like a scared tiny fish.

Incredible experience. Booked last minute and they were great, even helped us out with towels as we didn’t have any with us. We went out in the morning and it did take a while for the sharks to show up, they are wild animals though and don’t work to our timescales! Once they arrived the staff were great at making sure everyone had a good view and cage time. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and informative when asked questions. Tip for improvement would be to share that knowledge un-probed whilst waiting for the sharks, appreciate that’s difficult when they are working on baiting the sharks! Overall great trip!

After 3 hours of waiting, we saw 3 sharks in the final 15 minutes, which kick saved an otherwise mediocre to unpleasant experience. Nature is nature and I don’t fault the company for what they can’t control. However, what they could control they didn’t do well. In short, I’d recommend this trip if you’re already in the area, have the money & time, like great white sharks and have realistic expectations. However, I would not build a trip around this experience, as I’ve seen others do, as you could be setting yourself up for disappointment. We did see three great white sharks (on the smaller side), a few dolphins & seals, but it’s more complex than that. With the weather, limited water visibility and their natural camouflage you basically need the sharks to be right at the surface & in front of you to see them. You also need to get into the cage when they’re close and bait them to you to get a good experience. That’s a lot of variables to get right. We did get the right combo a few times, but not many. We were fortunate to get a good encounter while in the cage, but I don’t think everyone was so lucky. Outside of the sharks, there is nothing to do. I’m a bit surprised by this as shark sightings seem increasingly less likely in the area so you’d think the company would have this worked out. Rather than build in some other aspects of the trip like educating guests on evolving shark challenges (overfishing, loss of habitat, global warming), sealife facts, promoting conservation & respect for nature, etc…they went with the opposite approach and made the trip very bare bones. We sat in awkward silence for the first 3 hours until we saw the sharks. No crew introductions, no music, no effort to engage with guests, no basic tour info on the area, etc… The service really rubbed us the wrong way. The lady who checked us in at registration was unpleasant, unhelpful and made a terrible first impression. You’re lucky if you get one word answers out of her. Additionally, I also wanted to figure out how to work the go pro we rented from them before getting on the boat, which we weren’t able to do. So, unfortunately, the videos / pics didn’t turn out well as we struggled to use it properly. In the end, we felt like obligations and just another boat they needed to fill to pay the bills. What a shame, the sharks deserve better.
