I popped into this park during my historical walk around the town - the lure of the shade provided by the beautiful old trees proved too much of a temptation to resist! I didn't go right round the park, but I did stop to admire the exquisitely ornate Victorian water feature. There was a clean- up of note occurring near the little stream with every bit of litter being removed and the undergrowth cut back... impressive!

This is a great park to take the kids, its a very short walk through the park and then your done, but the park also has a sectioned off area where you can view different types of birds, goats, ponies and there`s also tortoises, donkies and peacocks.
An added bonus is the security guard on property, but he cames across as a bit of a stalker following us everywhere we walked. All in all it`s a nice park and it only takes 5minutes to walk through and its free to visit and enter.

The Harry Giddy Park is a beautiful park right in the center of Mossel Bay. This tranquil oasis is quick to miss if you drive by and is often overlooked by many, but as soon as you enter the park, it feels like the Garden Of Eden. Beautiful little waterfalls and a sanctuary to exotic birds on display.

We often take our grandchildren to this "little-known" park in the middle of Mossel Bay behind the bowls club. The kids love to run around and see all the birds - from chickens, turkeys, wild birds, budgies to parrots, and of course the ducks and tortoise's. Adjoining this section of the park is an area where the kids can play on swings, see-saws and merry-go-round. Love to visit with the kids and we often take along snacks and drinks to sit and picnic on the lawn.

Went for a walk on a Sunday, we passed the gates of the Harry Giddy Park in Marsh street and decided to go in. What a surprise. At the entrance and in other places in the park are plaques with Bible verses. There are numerous pathways to take, leading you between huge trees, plants, waterfalls, and fountains. There are benches, as well as tables and chairs for enjoying a picnic ( bring your own lunch, or a book to read). The bird life is amazing. A section of the park has been enclosed, where they have different species of birds, tortoises, sheep, and peacocks. There is a donation box, please support to enable this section of the park to survive. There is an enclosed play park for the children. This park is a must visit. Do not forget to take your camera. Enjoy!!!
