Great walk, with beautiful scenery
Mar 2021 • Couples
We walked this trail at least once a week. If in the Mossel bay area, its a must do.
You can decide how far you want to go, but comfortable walking shoes, water and a hat is necessary. Not for totally unfit walkkers or small children.
Pinnacle clubhouse is about half way to Dana bay. You can alsa stop your walk there. Good facilities at the clubhouse.

Beautiful walk
Aug 2020 • Friends
Beautiful trails to walk with the most amazing views of the ocean, and waves breaking against the shore. We went on a Saturday morning, and there were other hikers and joggers along the way. The route does not have shade, which was great in August. I would wear a hat and sunscreen during summer months. Parking at Point was also safe.

Easy Walk with stunning views
Mar 2020
Beautiful trail, with well-kept paths. Saw beautiful Fynbos and Hyrax. Beautiful views of the sea and I should think when it is whale season this would be the front row spot!

Beautiful scenery
Feb 2020 • Friends
Currently the route is a good destination for tourists as it is also patrolled by members of the Community Woks Program. The Bo Dorp Neighbourhood Watch assists to sure the route can be enjoyed for the stretch of 4km out of total distance. Walkers are however encouraged not to walk alone but rather in a group. Please also see Mossel Bay Tourism website for other activities recommended in Mossel Bay

Coastal

A great coastal path. We did just the first bit, until it got too hot, no shade. Lovely views. Take water.

beautiful, landscape is stunning, shame the safely factor isn't all there
Jan 2020
beautiful, landscape is stunning, you can walk for hours .....there is no safely rails after the light house and it's pretty high , if your not watching your step you could easily go over the edge , i am sure one day someone will fall....... there is a wooden cross and a photo of someone who must has died up here ....... shame the safely factor isn't all there.. its a big job.. but i think in places it needs more railings

Beautiful Nature Hike
Jan 2020
My wife and I did the full trail from the lighthouse to Dana Bay on New Years day - 4 hours there and back with lunch on the beach at Dana Bay. The hardest part was walking through Pinnacle Point Golf Estate - we found the going hard because of soft sand and high humidity. We took lots of water, but found drinking water taps at Pinnacle Point and at Dana Bay. Recommendation: good walking shoes that can keep sand out - else blisters. Also, if you swim at Dana Bay, which we did, wash off at the showers to get salt and sand off - else chaffing.
We will definitely do this hike again, but start earlier in the morning - recommend leaving the lighthouse before 7am - and choose a day with overcast conditions - New Years day was bright sunshine and strong winds.
