We did the trail 4km in and then back the same way and it’s well worth doing. There are beautiful views and the path is well maintained. There’s a small climb at the start, but then it’s mostly flat

You can easily walk this trail as a couple. This is a very clean trail and we started near the lighthouse. Since we there were four of us and a toddler in a back pack, we turned off after a few kilometers going down a nice residential area leading us through Church Street and the main Str. We then went down to the boardwalk area which is also very nice and has beautiful homes to look out. This took us back to the lighthouse. It was about 7 easy kilometers and an easy loop.

I loved this hike and scenery all along the coast. All 13 km are so worthwhile. I also felt very safe on this hike with the occasional dassies watching me. I hiked from the Point to Dana Bay and show a couple of Stone Age caves. It was amazing

Did this trail hike in full with a guide and are glad we did. So much marine wildlife appeared along the way (including whales even though the season had ended!). Ensure you bring a snack for when you take a break midway along the trail. Binoculars are a must.

This hike is only 13km, but the up/down makes if a bit mre challenging. But, you need to go slow anyway to enjoy the amazing views. Take enough snacks, at many places you will just sit and enjoy the views. This is one of the must-do things in Mosselbaai.

Wonderful day out. Filled with Wales, dolphins, seals and dassies. Really worth the effort. Don't forget to stop at the lighthouse for a coffee.

We started from near the Mossel Bay zipline. The trail started with some climbing, and thereafter it becomes relatively flat. Great view of the Ocean and people zipping down the zipline. Also saw many Hyrax/Dassie along the way. There is a split just before the zipline start point. Will need to take the left turn if you want to stay on the trail.

Take your time, enjoy the views. We took 6 hours to complete the trail, just because we needed a lot of time to enjoy all views. I am glad we did it during an overcast day, it would have been more difficult during a sunny summer day.

We ventured out to walk part of the St. Blaize Trail on New Years Day 2022. Family of 5 with kids aged 11,15,17. I would not recommend taking small children at all since there are steep drops and not very many railings.
The early morning weather was gorgeous with the cool sea breeze. The wind normally picks up around 10-11am so be sure to do an early hike.
The trail is moderate in the beginning with lots of steps and some rocks but after about 5 min it eases out to a pretty easy trail with stunning views of the Indian ocean. There are several places to enter or exit the trail along the way. No drinking water en route, so make sure to take some.
