Online it states that ReedValley closes at 16:00, but when we got there at 15:00 and asked to do a wine tasting/pairing we were told that they are closed.
If hours are different on Fridays or over weekends it should be updated online.

We had the pleasure to have lunch at Reedvalley at the Succulent restaurant. Our waiter, Adriaan was very friendly and professional. The outside seating area had a very inviting ambience.

We had a bottle of Reedvalley Sauvignon Blanc which we thoroughly enjoyed.Between us we had a Saucy Wagyu burger, Beef prego, Ribeye steak and Calamari. The steak and calamari were served with potato wedges and a crisp fresh salad.

We all agreed that our food was excellent and we absolutely enjoyed our lunch at Reedvalley. I bought a beautiful cheese knife set at the shop at reception.

We visited Reedvalley today for the second time, and after a previous pleasant experience a few years ago, we were very disappointed.

We made a reservation at The Succulent, but due to a miscommunication (apparently) on their part, we were told that they did not have a table. It was visibly not very busy. We understand that people make reservations for later - but still. We did as well? We drove all the way from Boggoms Bay, so we decided just to do a wine tasting. Disaster!

We had to taste the last bit of wine, left over from yesterday. Both the Espumante and Espumante Rosa, were flat. After a query, we were told it is because they are not allowed to through the wine away and we were drinking what was left from yesterday. Sorry! Maybe if they were more generous with the tasting, that would not happen.

We ordered a cheese platter, and they got the order wrong. We had to go and ask for knives to cut the cheese with, as well as for the balsamic vinegar and olive oil, which, according to the menu, is served with the platter. We were served brie instead of blue cheese, and when I went to ask for what we ordered, a person named Jade who I assumed was the manager (as he was the person who told us that we made no reservation - which we did), was extremely rude.

He told me to ask our waiter for the vinegar and olive oil (we had no waiter, only the young lady who had to do everyone's tastings). And he told me to bring back the cheese that was wrong myself. No apologies. Terrible, rude attitude. We were later told that a chef experienced a break up and things were a bit rough in the kitchen. We would have understood, but it definitely does not make the rude attitude more acceptable.

This is not how you treat customers. After telling everyone how great Reedvalley is, I will definitely not return.

Great experience, beautiful view and excellent wine. Our waiter Rykers really knew his stuff and made our visit there really special. Would recommend, especially for the live shows.

Our waiter knew what he was talking about, but kept the wine testing nice and casual for us. If you stop by, ask for Rykers - 100% recommend for a good time.

We first went there a few days ago on our way to Mossel Bay. We did a very nicely presented wine tasting along with a fillet steak which was excellent and the best we had so far on our trip. Viaan was great in serving us even though we had arrived a bit late. Our experience was a great reason to visit this place a second time a few days later and we were warmly received and served again. Thank you Viaan!

Lovely venue a stone's throw from the N2 en-route to Mossel Bay. Stopped off for lunch at the Succulent restaurant there which has a nursery as well and had the Wagyu beef burger which was super tasty with Brie. Our host/waiter Viaan was very hospitable and gave good tips on their wine selection. This venue was an unexpected delight. Well done!
