Hells Gate is about adventure and activity. The bike riding was great but the icing on the cake was the guided tour into the gorge, and getting the experience whole new natural places!

Drive your car or rent bicycles. We did both. Lots of wildlife and nice not to be confined in a vehicle. Worth the trip to the gorge at the end and to see the geothermal power plant. A good day out.

The hike was demanding but well worth it. Get a guide at the entrance and I'd recommend the 2hr hike. Carry plenty of water.

The place is great to see different rock formations and especially the hike down to the riverbed with thermal streams was well worth it. Make sure you get a guide to get the most of it.

We spent the day at Hells Gate. First we went to the Hot Springs Spa. The water was perfectly hot and the location was nice. I would say they need to improve their management and professionalism. Waiting in the queue to pay a safari driver stepped right in front of me and brought all his guests and the receptionist didn't... More

Take a bicycle ride through the park and a walk through the jorge. Rock climbing is also recommended. the road is easily accessible by road. relaxing at the end of the day at the spa is also really nice. on a bad day you will find loads of students being rowdy and loud. Carry lots of water and food. there... More

Okay, so if you into short hikes and fantastic views this is the place to go to! Walking through the gorge was a thrilling experience, I hadn't seen anything like it before.

An unique experience! I never dreamed I'd find myself biking with my adult son on a bumpy dirt road in the middle of Africa! But here I was at Hell's Gate among zebras, giraffes, warthogs, antelope, and baboons. The surrounding landscape is rocky and beautiful with wild animals roaming in the open grasslands. We biked by ourselves after renting bikes... More

A must visit if you love nature. You can make it an all day trip or just 2-3 hrs. We were running short of time so opted to drive to the gorge (you can also rent bikes at $5/bike) and then hired a guide to walk us through the Gorge. The drive up to the Gorge was beautiful. We were... More

First off let me say hire a bike in Hells Gate. Its not everyday you can say you rode a bike through a national park and literally be centimetres away from wild zebras buffalos giraffes and many more amazing animals. If you can hire a local for the day to explain parts of the park its well worth your hard... More
