We, a couple of a certain age, spent 5 wonderful days between Xmas and New Year 2019 on a non-participatory, mobile camping safari with Mosu Safari Tours. The experience was better than we could have asked for. We spent the first night on an island in the Okavango delta, having arrived by mokoro canoe, the second and third nights at Moremi Game Reserve, and the fourth and fifth nights at the Chobe National Park. The team, Tebogo our guide, Kilos the camp chef, and Joe the camp assistant, are all very pleasant people and were extremely quick and efficient in the setting up and breaking down of camp when we moved, in the preparation of wonderful meals (nod to Kilos), and generally in the giving of good advice on how to keep safe when wild camping with savage beasts in the vicinity. The camping was properly camping, but with bush showers and en-suite facilities, and the game viewing was great. We saw an awful lot. Ditto with fabulous sunsets and sunrises. We would highly recommend it.

We had two days in Maun. We choose one day mokoro safari and one day game drive in Moremi reserve. Both of them were excellent with local guides who know their business. Communication was excellent and we agreed a few weeks ahead of our trip and secure the safaris for a small amount of money. very good value for money. Overall highly recommended.

I booked a 5-day mobile camping trip in Moremi Khwai and Savuti with Mosu Safari. I had a wonderful time in camp and safari. I was impressed by their clean, well maintained vehicle and equipment. I didn’t expect the bucket shower, and personal toilet (attached to the tent). I didn’t expect the dream team either. Accompanying me were my veteran guide Kaizer, chef Dandy and camp assistant Od. These guys spoiled me the entire trip, getting me as much game drives as I want, providing more than enough delicious food, and assisting me in everything I need. Literally, I do nothing in camp but eat and sleep, and go on game drives the entire day.

I also appreciated manager Kemy for helping me with my bookings 3-4 months prior to my holiday. She made sure everything runs smoothly and is flexible with some of my requests. Guide Kaizer had to report to her from camp everyday via satellite phone, just to tell her how we are and that we are safe.

I’ve been on safari in other African countries, but there are always firsts ticked by this trip, like the mating lions, pack of wild dogs, etc. Overall, I had a great time, and am left with curiosity of the areas I didn’t get to visit for game!

We organised a day mokoro trip in the Okavango Delta with Mosu Tours, and were deeply unimpressed by the way they behaved.

The trip was $280 for two adults plus $91 for a child (ie not cheap) and on the itinerary we'd paid for, it said we'd be collected from our hotel in Maun at 7.30am and that we'd arrive at the mokoro station at 8.15am. We were then promised a full morning's mokoro trip, followed by a walking safari, lunch and an afternoon's mokoro trip, arriving back at our hotel at 5pm.

The night before, a representative from Mosu Tours came to say that instead, after collection the next morning, we'd be driving NINETY MINUTES to collect other guests before heading to the mokoro station - which would have meant over 2 hours in a jeep instead of 45 minutes. When we refused, the Mosu representative practically begged us to go ahead with the change of plan as though we were being really difficult. We refused. They were clearly just trying to save money on having to use two jeeps / drivers, which was completely unacceptable on a tour at this price.

The trip itself was then still cut short from the itinerary we'd been sent. After MUCH hanging around at the mokoro station, we had about 90 mins on the water, then a one-hour walking safari on the island, then a terrible lunch (dry, cold pasta), followed by a hasty 45 mins moroko trip back where it was clear the poler just wanted to get back home. We were back at our hotel well before 4pm.

We had been so looking forward to our mokoro trip in the Okavango Delta, but Mosu Tours really spoilt it with it being so rushed, and the attempts to change plans at the last minute.

It's clearly a wonderful trip to do, and there plenty of tour operators in Maun and around the region offering mokoro day trips in the Delta - I would strongly recommend you use one of those instead.

We had booked a makoro day trip combined bush walk. We were picked up on time early in the morning and arrived ar 9 o clock at makoro station. Then the other groups organized by other companies left, while our guide was missing. We were left there in 45 minutes by ourselves without knowing what is happening. Because of their huge delay the most pleasant part the canoe tour was cut short with one hour. Then we went for bush walk in the worse time of the day, I was going to faint few times. Our guide had poor English and almost didn’t speak to us. We could overhear other guides telling so much about the animals and the plants. Then we were served dry and tasteless food. We sat after lunch 45 minutes in the heat doing nothing. On the way back they hardly stopped for pictures because they were in a hurry to go home. In the description of the tour said that they will show us how to punt, that it will be original makoro etc. That was the most disappointing experience of the entire vacation. Very unprofessional.

Mosu Safari Tours met our expectations and went beyond. The team provided excellent service, and we had the opportunity to see many animals in their natural state safely. Our guide, Kaisar, has extensive knowledge of the local fauna, from which we learned a lot. The chef, Avelino, and the camp assistant, LT, were very professional, and the food was delicious. Kemy, the operations supervisor, was diligent and willing to listen to suggestions.

The service was so good that we also took another tour with them, and even though we had a few issues with this one, Kemy was very kind and sorted the problems out, showing the company value their clients.

Without a doubt, it has been one of the best experiences!

After no travel for two years, my first trip was to Botswana, the Okavango Delta, with Mosu Safari. Because I had travelled with them twice in the past, I knew 18 days with Mosu Safari would be one of the safest, best trips I could take now. I flew from the US on United direct from Newark to Johannesburg and then on to Maun. Everywhere I travelled in South Africa and Botswana people were careful with mask wearing, hand sanitzer, lots of temperature checks and COVID testing. And being outdoors camping and in the Land Rover is a great way to travel particularly now.

My trip this year included areas I have never been. Kubu Island with its amazing baobab trees and salt flats was incredible and Tsodilo Hills was beautiful. I highly recommend both areas! And Moremi Game Reserve provided so many great experiences - lions, leopards, so many birds, wild dogs, giraffe, elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, and so much more! We stayed in the Xini area and Khwai. This was my third time in Khwai and it is always beautiful with lots to see.

I cannot say enough good things about Mosu! My guide was os great - as always, the camp meals were really delicious and the camp hand was super helpful. I stayed in Maun an extra day on our return so I could get a PCR test to get into South Africa. The company owner even drove me around Maun and took great care of me on that last day. At 18 days, this was the longest trip I have taken with them and it was such a treat after the last two years. I'm already looking forward to my next trip

A well thought out itinerary provided a number of NP's which had different landscapes which showed the variety that Botswana can offer. A large number of animals, excellent camping arrangements handled by an expert, freshly cooked food by an experienced chef with an knowledgeable guide. The service provided by the organiser, was everything we could have asked for. A memorable trip that surpassed our expectations.

MOSU Safari Tours Local Operator in Maun has provided us more then the best that we could expect.
We were told the package was All included with no surprises, we fortunately had 2.
- The commitment of the team to our well-being, even in the smallest attentions and details.
- The discovery of a Safari bush style.
We would like to give a warm thank you to all the team, especially your 3 colleges of MUSO Safari that have been taking care of us. More attention, patience and friendship couldn't be given to help strangers discovering your amazing country. Kemy did just grate making this possible for us and she made it exactly like we wanted in regards of the organization involved, always answering the phone and Emails to ours questions.
You had a word and that’s the thing we mostly appreciated with MOSU. Not the slightest false note, 100% Success.
And hopefully we will be back soon

Our guide was the veteran Kaizer, our chef Dandy made all the meals and desserts perfectly delicious, and our caring, kind and polite Joe did his job. Our 3 nights and 4 days safari camp was full of hospitality, comfortable and without inconvenience, providing us with a trip we will never forget. They are true professionals! We even got to see a wild dog. It was the best! Our safari tour was Moss Safari! You will never regret it! Thank you Kaizer, Dandy and Joe.
