I absolutely loved every minute of it. It was incredibly insightful in all areas and it makes you appreciate Maun even more than you did before. You gain knowledge into the culture and appreciate the richness of it all. Our guide was warm and knowledgeable. You realise know much holds a story that can so easily be overlooked while being oblivious and without having an understanding behind it. This experience opened my eyes in many ways. Would definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Thato and our driver were such fun to be with. It was very interesting to learn about the basket weaving (we were useless t it). We also had a wander round the market, which was great fun. It was a boiling hot day, but we didn’t do too much out in the sun. Water was provided, a nd the highlight was a lovely meal served in a local cafe. It was delicious, and was served by a charming young lady. At no time did we feel hurried, pressured or uninvited. I thoroughly recommend doing this fun tour. We learnt a lot.

This tour is a great way to see Maun and experience the culture. All the places visited were excellent. The guide was very friendly and informative with a generosity of spirit.
It did not feel rushed nor was there pressure to buy from the local artisans. Just an eagerness to show us their talents and share their love for their country

The hosts are wonderful, kind and knowledgable locals. We explored the entirety of Maun :the fishing spots, the market, and met with a few of the lovely Maun residents. Water provided and questions encouraged and answered. Highlights included meeting with basketmakers and cultural experts, artists, and a local food lunch at the Dusty Donkey.

I loved this activity ! Thato was my guide and I learned so much on the Batswana's culture and tradition. We went to Maun town and met different vendors. I really enjoyed the food but my highlights was weaving the basket with Magodi :)

The Safari is so much more enhanced when you have the opportunity to get a glimpse into the local culture the Maun Immersive Tour provides. The Immersive tour is such a great insight into the real Botswana. This tour is designed with the local people in Maun. Not only did I feel good but I also knew that I was getting to see more of the real life in and around Maun, I recommend this for all of the tourists going to Botswana.

It was my first visit to Botswana and my main purpose was safari. Yet, I am glad I did this Maun Tour, as I got to know more about the culture of Botswana and peoples everyday life in the small town of Maun. We visited various places in Maun. A basket weaver showed us the traditional way of basket weaving. We visited a local market, saw (street) art and had typical Botswana food for lunch. Besides we visited a car wash, which is kind of a meeting point for people living nearby. During the tour we had the chance to buy some nice souvenirs as well. When starting your safari from Maun, take some time for this tour before going to the bush. It's worth it!

The highlight of the Tour was definitely the interaction with the hosts. they were so knowledgable and enthusiastic about Botswana Traditions, Culture, Style and Food. The Tour as such was not only very informative but also covered a big variety of aspects and took us off the beaten tracks of 'Maun Town’
