In July & August we (2 adults and a 7-year-old boy) had a marvelous time in Botswana and Zimbabwe thanks to the great effort and expertise of Kalahari Breeze Safaris! Maria and Chris aligned with us during many weeks before the trip started to get the itinerary we were looking for. Please note that especially Botswana is quite exclusive and busy during their high season (July – October). This has much to do with the remoteness of the locations, the availability of roads and the lack of mass tourism. In return we got the trip of a lifetime! Kalahari Breeze Safaris made suggestions on our wishes and also managed our expectations well on travelling circumstances. Eventually we did wild camping in Moremi, stayed in a wonderful location in the Okavango Delta, had the time of our lives in the beautiful Savute area, and visited the unforgettable Victor Falls. The kindness of the people we met is unmatchable. If you ever dreamed of visiting the real Africa please consult Kalahari Breeze Safaris!

We went on a custom 5 day Chobe & Victoria Falls Safari. Booking this with Kahlahari Breeze was seamless. We had reached out to them, gave them the list of places we were thinking of going (Chobe National park and victoria falls), our budget for the entire trip, and duration. Maria replies promptly with full details and gave us great suggestions based on our preferences. As this was our first time in Africa we weren’t sure what to expect.
The accommodations were amazing, food incredible, and excellent game drives, boating drives, and a sunset cruise.
Everything was taken care of - all we had to do was show up! We will definitely be booking with them for all future visits. Highly recommend. If you don’t see something exact to your requirements, I recommend reaching out to them and having a conversation!

We just got back from our customized two-week safari booked through Kalahari Breeze Safaris and cannot stop raving about it! Even before we left, Kalahari Breeze Safaris carefully & promptly responded to every one of my (many) questions & helped design an itinerary that was just what I wanted. The camps they suggested were top notch and exceeded my expectations. Really everything was seamless, from the camps, activities, and transfers between camps (and KBS provided special touches during our stay that went above and beyond and made us feel very special). Although a safari was on my bucket list, my husband was just along for the ride, but after the first camp, he was as impressed as I was with the entire safari experience. In fact, I just asked him what he would say in a review about KBS and our trip, and he told me "it was perfect!" (and he is very particular, so this is not his normal comment at all). I would book with Kalahari Breeze Safaris again without hesitation if returning to Botswana - Top notch & one of the best trips I have ever been on!

This was an epic trip to celebrate my niece graduating from college. "Life” was very professional and made sure we were safe at all times. We saw baboons, elephants, hippos, monkeys, impalas, crocodiles, buffaloes, a variety of birds and even a live lion's kill. The refreshments and lunch provided was delicious. I am amazed at "Life's" vision. “Life” was able to see things that we did not and I was impressed by his "eyes". This Full day game drive was a fabulous way to start our adventure in Chobe National Park!

This company is absolutely wonderful and delivers exactly what they promise and some… our 8 days with them was truely amazing.

Having travelled to over 100 countries we always try and find companies that are locally owned and employ local people.. and Kalahari Breeze does this to an amazing degree. This not only adds to the experiences but also ensues an authentic trip. There is also something good about supporting local communities.

Botswana is an amazing country with too many highlights to list…. Our top 3 would be seeing Meerkats, sleeping on a salt pan and camping in the depths of the Okavango Delta.

We can’t recommend this company enough/great communication, professional and very much value for money.

We had a ten day trip planned for Botswana and Zimbabwe. From the start, Maria and Chris was very professional and attentive. We had great time in Maun, Chobe and Victoria Falls. All the places we stayed were top notch. The tour guides were very informative and caring. Transfers between different cities were very easy. Even though we had an issue with one of our day trips, Chris and Maria were very understanding to sort it out.

On 9/9/2019 we went to Devils Pool. Totally awesome and definitely worth every penny! We stayed at Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe and Devils Pool is on the Zambia side of the falls. After you make your reservation, and upon arrival into Victoria Falls, make sure to get a Kaza Visa which allows you to cross into Zambia and back to Zimbabwe. Our pick up was at Kingdom Hotel on the Zimbabwe side and was $15 per person round trip (cash). DON’T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT. The drivers walked us through customs on both sides and were very knowledgeable. Towels are provided, there is a changing area, and also a storage locker for valuables. Bring your swim suit and wear water type shoes/tennis shoes that you don’t mind getting wet since it is rocky walk. (Some do it bare footed—not the best idea).

After an off again on again start, expected to start in Nata, we actually started at Gweta, not sure if one is better than the the other! Sat around waiting for a 3pm start which was expected, however eventually left at 4:30pm.
I was expecting a safari drive based on my interpretation of my booking but we just got a drive past a few cattle villages a few birds to get to the pan. We did see the Meerkats, maybe 10 of them for maybe 10 minutes and certainly not as close as anticipated.

Camp itself was great, can’t fault it, great dinner, sleeping gear was great all as expected! Breakfast pretty light on, toast & tea/coffee, and certainly no safari drive on the way back, exactly the same as drive out!

All in all, it was not worth the money I paid, it was 1/4 of the price if I’d booked locally and that’s the price I would expect to pay.

My advice to anyone considering this, hire a car and drive from Maun, and pay ( picture attached) local prices.

Let me start by saying that I rarely write reviews….. the service has to have been something so exceptional that I feel compelled to sit at my computer and type something, telling others to do what I did. THIS company is absolutely deserving of all the highest accolades!!!! We began planning this trip mid 2019 for mid 2020 and, as you can guess, it was delayed and delayed again until September 2021. During this time, Maria (co-founder of the company) was gracious enough to continue communications throughout. She was efficient and amazingly easy to deal with, even when I was freaking out with scheduling plane tickets and time frames and COVID related issues. I cannot thank her enough for her ease in handling some difficult situations! When we finally got a plan together, we did Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls followed by Chobe National Park followed by 2 nights in Okavango Delta then flew to Cape Town for Shark Cage Diving, Table Mountain, and Boulder Beach - ALL of which was organized by Maria and her husband, Chris. It was 11 days of the best experiences I could’ve ever asked for! When we finally got to Victoria Falls in September 2021 we were greeted by Chris, our phenomenal tour guide throughout our time in Botswana/Zambia/Zimbabwe/Maun. He is not only part owner of the company but also one of the kindest, most knowledgeable humans we encountered during our stay! We were BEYOND lucky to have him as our guide and I cannot say enough good things about him! He got us through multiple COVID tests, visa sites, multiple tours, TONS of driving, etc. all with a smile and lots of wisdom about his country and the animals living there! I cannot recommend this company enough!!!! We got the “budget” accommodations due to the amount of time we spent there and the lack of money 😉 and they were STILL incredible! The tents in most of the places still have actual beds (only in Victoria Falls and inside the Delta did we have cots) and there were showers in every place but the Delta so you never felt far from the luxuries of home! Chris and Maria make sure you are comfortable at all times and are continually concerned about your well being and if you are enjoying their country/continent. If you are within the time frame, you HAVE to do Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls! It is once in a lifetime and so thrilling!!!! You lay, on the edge of the falls, and time stops. It is beautiful and serene and insane all at the same time! Then, I strongly recommend Chobe National Park! We saw 3/5 of the “big 5” within the first hour of being there!!! It was surreal to be driving and be like “oh! There’s a giraffe chilling, eating leaves!” And, the Delta provided some of the most exceptional sunrises/sunsets and nature hikes possible against a true “National Geographic-esque background”! We got to experience the Salt Pans as well, being able to see meerkat in their natural environment! Cape Town was very similar to the US in that it is urban and you can just go down the street to a beach or restaurant and there aren’t animals anywhere unless you seek them out. Table Mountain wasn’t one of my “must see” list items but Maria scheduled it for us and I’m THRILLED she did! It was incredible! And, it’s now classified as one of the “New 7 Wonders of the World” so a must do if you go there! We had such a fantastic experience while in Africa that it is something you MUST do in your lifetime! If you are at all considering coming to Africa to do safaris and immerse yourself in this gorgeous continent, book with Kalahari Breeze Safaris and you won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful private three-night WildCamping trip with Kalahari Breeze into the Okavango last month. The spot where we camped was in a concession area, and the wildlife was fantastic. Each morning and late afternoon, we went on drives and saw a plethora of general game, along with multiple elephant and buffalo sightings. In just a few days, we also had multiple lion sightings, saw wild dogs, and even witnessed a cheetah stalking and chasing impala.

The pre-erected tents and beds were comfortable, and the hot water prepared for the showers on demand was a luxury we did not expect. Our main guide, Master, was friendly and helpful from the start. His knowledge and passion for guiding were evident, as he grew up in the area.

We went on mokoro trips, which were a unique experience. Unfortunately, the water levels were lower than usual, so we couldn't go on long trips and had to turn back due to hippo and elephant activity in the main channel. We also went on two bush walks and encountered elephants and even a lion on one of the walks.

The food served by the bush chef, Sam, was delicious. We were surprised by what he managed to prepare in his bush kitchen: fresh bread each evening, three-course meals, and brunch after morning activities.

We highly recommend this WildCamping trip with Kalahari Breeze. Maria in the office was efficient and effective during all the booking interactions, ensuring everything went as planned and surpassing our expectations. Thanks to Maria, Master, Sam, Jerry, and Richard for hosting us in the bush.

Thanks for being such wonderful guests and we are happy that we managed to create a lasting family memory for your wonderful family and that we managed to show you a lot of wildlife and our passion for our home. See you next time when you drive up north again 😀
