We did a 6 night/ 7 Day tour of Northern Botswana camping in Khwai (Moremi), Savuti and Chobe National Parks. Patricia and her team provided us with fantastic service and delivered an incrediblly memorable trip which included a transfer to Victoria Falls from Kasane.
We were provided us with comfortable bedding in 2 person tents each having an ensuite toilet.
We had some amazing and delicious dishes cooked up by Salome the chef who was part of the crew that accompanied us thru our trip.
Glen(Bathobangwe) and Oli (Olefile) were fabulous guides knowledgeble, experienced, eager to please and great trackers which provided us with some fabulous sightings of the best that Botswana wildlife has to offer.
Coupled with some magical sunrises and sunsets this was indeed the trip of a lifetime.
It was great value for money and we will have no hesitation using Patricia and her team at Wild Ridge Bush Trails and Safaris the next one as well. Highly recommended!!!

I can't express how happy i am with the safari we booked with Wild Ridge Bush Trails Safaris, we described what we wanted to do and they came up with an incredible itinerary that took us all around Botswana! There was quite a bit of driving but we were able to make stops along the way and see hundreds and hundreds of elephant, giraffe and other wildlife on our way to our campsite where we would see even more animals. The guides were very knowledgeable and were more accommodating than i could imagine. The food was fantastic, we ate hot meals several times a day, every day. We had hot water for showers when requested, and nothing felt better than getting cleaned up at the end of the day. When we returned from a dusty safari drive, we would always have hot water set up by our tents to freshen up. A rudimentary outdoor bathroom was set up at our camp with a privacy wall that even my girlfriend would have been happy with (she didn't go this time because i wasn't sure she could handle "roughing it", but it didn't feel at all like we were roughing it at all so I'm bringing her next time! :) ) We visited all types of terrain and saw every animal that i'd set out to see. An absolutely amazing experience at a very reasonable price, I will definitely be back and highly recommend!!!!

Five reasons why you should use Wild Ridge Bush Trails Safaris for your Botswana Adventure!
I recently returned from a two week trip to Botswana that was organised in Botswana by Patricia Ridge. It was my second visit and the whole thing was wonderful. Here’s why:
1. Guides
Patricia used two guides for our group of 4 teachers and 11 students. Both Gibson and Jameson were brilliant. So experienced , (Grade 3, the highest rating) and extremely friendly. They were justifiably proud of Botswana’s incredible wealth of wildlife and were willing to share their knowledge of animals, birds, plants and people in a totally fresh way on each and every drive.
We camped in Moremi, Savuti and Chobe ( 2 nights each) and drove on roads that can be very challenging. We always felt totally safe and were in awe of their driving and mechanical skills.
The guides were expert in finding animals, often in intimate circumstances free from crowds. These encounters included Lion, Leopard and African Wild Dogs. On some days, after long and arduous drives, Jameson and Gibson were anxious to look for animals we had not seen almost until dark or to the last moment before we had to camp. They communicated well with every other guide we met on order to share information and did not build up our hopes with false promises.
2. Campsite Team
Along with the two guides we had a team of three who set up our camp each day. “Policeman” ran the camp. What a lovely bloke! We had our tents serviced each day and on one memorable occasion he spelt out “welcome” in petals on our beds. All the guys were superbly approachable and built up a great rapport with ourteam. We were able to recharge our cameras each day which was brilliant for quite a large group.
3. Food
Patricia provided us with a genius cook called Rasta. Every night, as we gathered at the table under our canopy he would proudly announce the meal of the day. We had great steak, chicken and pasta in a varied and well planned set of menus. Every meal had incredible flavour with at least four different components. There was always enough for seconds which was lapped up. When we were out on game drives there was always a great lunch and memorable tea and coffee stops.
4. Jump St. Chalets (Maun)
Wild Ridge safaris are based in Maun, a short ten minute drive from Maun International Airport. Both of my Botswanan experiences have started from this lovely unassuming location. Patricia has a number of individual chalets that have their own character and bird name. I stayed in Flamingo. There is a small pool. I loved the birds around Jump St. My friend and I had a list of over 20 species before we had even got into a safari vehicle. There were Hornbills, Bouboua and the odd Parrot, not to mention beautiful Starlings everywhere.
The staff were so helpful and typically charming as is everyone in Botswana. I was sorry to leave Jump St. but I knew what lay in store on safari and we saw wildlife almost as soon as we left Maun with our guides. It was great to meet up with Patricia again for this second trip and indeed she met up with us in both Savuti and Chobe to see how we were getting on.
5. Variety of programmes
We are already in discussion with Patricia about a possible future itinerary that would include the central Kalahari and overnight camping in the Okavango delta. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We have returned from a safari in Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park that we will never forget for the rest of our lives. We spent 6 fantastic days led by an extraordinary guide: Elicious. We have seen so many animals, learned so much about bush and animals thanks to the great preparation of our guide. A great feeling was created between us, we will always remember the chats and the laughs together.
As for the rest of the crew, they made us feel at home even in the bush. We tasted excellent dishes cooked by Peggy. For this we still thank everyone.

First of all, this is my 5th game drive I've done.
This one, wow!
For one day Moremi game drive.
I've had an amazing experience.
Elephants, buffalo, alive and dead, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, impalas of course, kudus, antelopes, zebras, warthogs, birds and the outstanding 10 lions almost at the same spot, only 200 meters between the two groups of five lions.
An elephant who told us that he is the boss!
It was amazing!!!!
My heart is still pounding when I see the shootings from that day.
Thanks to Frank, the guide who tell us a story every time we spot something.
Next time I'm in Maun, I'll arrange the trip with you again.
Thanks again!

My wife and I stayed with Wild Ridge and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. The food was outstanding and the accommodation was brilliant. We were offered hot water for showers every day and the tents were kept clean for us which gave a bit of luxury in the middle of the bush. The food however was their strength as we were amazed with the quality we were served every day. The staff were also extremely friendly and were only too happy to help. If you are looking for a bush adventure off the beaten track, there is no other option but to go for Wild Ridge Bush Trails Safaris.

Have been doing Botswana for 35 years, sometimes at luxury camps, sometimes as solo self-drive deep into the bush and this was a simply superb mix of the two ends of the scale. With a group of six friends, Patricia and team took us into the bush at Savute for three outstanding days. Tented accomodation was perfectly good with very comfortable camp beds and a shower toilet arrangement at the rear - outdoors but with the safety of a thick canvas. Her team provided lashings hot water and any other assistance whatever the hour with keeness and efficiency. The food was stonkingly good and is there anything better than freshly cooked garlic bread in the bush to complement excellent steak? Gatherings around the camp fire at night with lions roaring in the distance was unforgetable. Game drives through the day were spot on being just the right length to bag some great game early morning and be back for a hearty breakfast. Patricia was the perfect host with a first class team.
