One for the bucket list
Jun 2021
One for the bucket list! We had Megan as our guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate about all the cats. We did both a morning and an afternoon tour which I would definitely recommend as it gives you the different behaviours of the animals at the different times. I was very surprized at how affordable the tours were. There was also no rush in the time spent on the tour and we had ample time to take photos and see as much as we wanted.

Insightful experience

An absolute must if you are in the Hluhluwe area. Very interesting and insightful. The guides are amazing. Not a full interactive experience but you get pretty close to the magnificent cats.

So much learned about cats in the wild
Nov 2020
As we had stayed at Emdoneni Lodge, we've done the Cheetah Cat Conservation tour. The cats were beautiful and and we gathered so many information about all the cats in nature. Our guide was very friendly and we could see how she and her helper loved the cats. We had the opportunity to take some very nice photos of the cheetahs and other wild cats.

Unique opportunity to walk around inside the enclosure with (smaller) big cats. These beautiful animals loll in the sun like house cats with giant claws. The facility is committed to releasing them back to the wild. The adjoining accommodation looked great and the cafe was excellent too.

Wonderful Experience
Feb 2020 • Friends
Whenever we are in the area we visit Emdoneni and we are never disappointed with the experience. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and they obviously love what they do. The cats are a joy to see, and being up close and personal with them is a humbling experience.

Great day visit!
Dec 2019 • Family
We heard about Emdoneni Cheetah experience through my cousin. After seeing her photos and experience we knew we had to visit. We booked and arrived. We were greeted by friendly staff and the amount of infomation about all the cats they look after and release back into the wild was amazing. I highly reccomend this place.

Close up Cat Encounter
Jan 2020
I visited the sanctuary on a private tour en-route to St Lucia. You are allocated an hours time slot to view four different species of cat.
You are not allowed to touch the animals, but a photo opportunity with the cheetah brothers is permitted at the end of the tour.
It is a privilege to be so close to wild cats, and if the weather is very hot, they will seek shade and not come out if they don't want to. A great place to visit.

Interesting Visit
Sep 2019
This project is amazing and so worth while. The information given is not run of the mill or routine. It was all new information regarding the cats bred there and how and why the young are released again into the wild. You are able to enter the cages and stand near the animal. It si awonderful experience
