A beautiful old house, full of colonial charm, from the beginning of the previous century. Just a pity that the modern upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms were done without any effort to keep the character of the house.

Visited the goerke house. Beautiful antique furniture. Interesting history. Will take maybe an half an hour to an hour to see. Also climb up the damwall.

Interesting family history and in fine condition. The furniture and lights and wall decoration are rather special.

While in Luderitz, this is one of the few things you can do during a short city walk. Much more exiting it is not going to be. The house has some furniture in the style of the period the building was first used. Aparently it...More

It is worth walking here and paying 25N$ (only) entrance. First we heard story of the house, from construction to present use. Then walking thru rooms, enjoying old days style and luxury. View over Luderitz is really nice. For us it was about half an...More

There's not that much to do in Lüderitz, so a short visit to Goerke house is surely an OK way to spend 15 minutes. It's an imposing old structure on a beautiful location, but most of it isn't original and the story behind it isn't...More
