We loved our visit, it’s serene and quiet. The bridge needs to be rebuilt and the view is fabulous. It is definitely worth a visit to see what hardship those explorers went through to mark land back in 1600.

Take this scenic drive (takes you approximately 20 minutes) along the bays to Diaz Point... This Portuguese seafarer landed here to inspect the inland and bay (and left, of course)... Even when the weather is not so good it is spectacular because you can feel...More

Wind, waves and fog. Take care when you climb up if it´s windy. But it´s worth the quick climb as the view is spectacular. The waves are just brutal, but make for wonderful pictures. It´s worth the drive from Luderitz. Be sure to take something...More

Lovely rocky coves beaches and excellent crayfishing. In addition certain uncommon sea birds nest in the area. Unfortunately the restaurant was not fully operational and toilets out of order.

The path up to the cross on Diaz point is in bad shape, and up there it's very windy, but totally worth it. Use caution with small kids or elderly people. There were seals on a rock by the point, and a little café where...More

Suppose you would only visit this site if you have an interest in history. Other than the lighthouse and the Dias cross there is not much else to see. Splendid view from the Dias cross over the ocean. Take note though the path leading to...More

My husband and I spent a few hours ( not long enough ) at this beautiful spot near Luderitz in Namibia. It was very quiet and we only saw one other couple. The views are just too beautiful. We happily sat and watched the seagulls....More

A drive out of town but worth it! Fantastic views and dramatic coastline and waves. Look out for the penguins near the lighthouse. Glad we went.

I found this to be pretty interesting and very beautiful. We jumped across the rocks and climbed up to the cross (there are stairs). there is a little bar on the way out that has ice cold beer - worth a stop!

The main route to this location is quite interesting travelling in parts right along the waters edge of a relatively secluded inlet, before witnessing the very windy and rough Atlantic Ocean. There are a number of choices of viewpoint, but Diaz Point is the most...More
