Went there basically to see the captive fossa but the guides in the park are very informative and the geckos are quite extraordinary.

It was lots of fun to see the lemurs from close by and feel their soft fur. They are very gentle animals. The part with the crocodiles and other animals was also very interesting. It is basically a zoo set in a natural landscape. Only...More

What a wonderful place. Friendly staff and fantastic nature. We did both the lemur islands and the crocodile experience (which is more of a zoo). Really terrific guides.

We had a surprisingly fun visit to the Lemur Island, a man-made island surrounded by with a few-metre-wide canal, which is a pleasant walk from Vakona Forest Lodge. These lemurs have either been rescued or handed in and many of them are very used to...More

Stunning experience with a great guide. Did extra islands to see the ring tailed lemur too. Such beautiful and intelligent creatures. A wildlife highlight in a wonderful country.

Good close up views of 4 species of lemur. Well laid out and not a zoo, great to paddle around island in a canoe and take in the environment. Good guides who tell you all about the rehabilitation programme and the life of lemurs

THis was great in that you could feed lemurs bananas and they will jump all over you. But our guide was no good and didn't say much and gave us 10 minutes on the island before taking us back. We felt cheated and that we...More

This was a fun experience and opportunity to get up close to three varieties of lemur. The Brown lemurs jump on you and are very engaging and gentle! The lemurs are all being rehabilitated - many had been pets so are being given a new...More
