Wonderful hike from El Chalten up to this glacier lake, passing through different types of vegetation. Keep an eye out for the woodpecker about an hour into hike. Lake itself is lovely, with icebergs floating in it.

I did a long day hike to this glacier lake and also crossed the river next to the lake with a rope to go ice climbing in the glacier. One of the best days of my life!

Well this trip has been my top priority in life at that time! First Argentinian mountain lake i've seen and strongest winds i've encountered in my life! Pretty awesome!!!

Simply a breathtaking view. The 6 hours walk from Chaltén 2 hours each way and around 20km total) is worth not even by the great price fro your eyes when you reach the lake, but also because of all the beautiful things you can see...More

We did this one after fitz roy and felt it added its own unique experience that was just as enjoyable. We did the extra 2km hike up the right side and it was long, but worth it. Really lucked out with nice weather and viewing...More

Every trek in El Chalten is stunning. This one is varied, breath taking and can be undertaken safely even on a windy day (and don’t underestimate the wind in Patagonia) as long as you don’t attempt the mirador maestri ridge at the end. Although it...More

Had a very cloudy day...when arriving to the Laguna I couldn't see almost anything, the mountain range was covered by clouds and the winds were so strong. The path itself is nice but seems a bit boring after doing the Fitz Roy track

This was a beautiful, varied hike, but it's long (more than 20 km) and steep in parts. We had a ride to the out of town trailhead and a terrific guide -- Valeria.

Long but easy trek leads to breathtaking views of Laguna Torre with Cerra Torre at the backstage. It's possible to get very close view on the glacier if you take 2 km walk on the righthandside. Along the walk views of the lake, mountain picks...More

Alot of things will be closed. Buses from el calafate won't run as often. Accommodation will be cheaper. Weather will be alot colder. The laguna torre trek should still be ok, but the laguna Los tres trek might be tricky... More
