It is well worth the drive from Tarbert, past the castle to this beach. There is a lovely visitor centre, shelter, toilet, by the beach and lovely walks along the coast overlooking Scarp to another gorgeous beach up and down a cliff path.

everyone talks about the long drive on a narrow road with passing places - they are right about all of it. The drive with an 8m motorhome (MH) was interesting to say the least and unfortunately we drove past the MH parking area at the...More

At the end of a long and winding road (13 miles of single track with passing places) you will find an outstanding beach. There is a covered area to eat equipped with toilets and showers, and a small parking area. Unfortunately due to the aftermath...More

Stunning beach with smaller, equally beautiful coves just along the rocky outgrops. Turquoise waters that tempted us for a swim even in September! Well worth the 12 mile single track road to get there and good walks up and over the surrounding headland.

Take the single track 15 mile drive to this beach from turn off as you will not be disappointed. Its a glorious moment when the full beach becomes the panoramic view from your windscreen. This year sees the added benefit of Harris Trust offering a...More

There are two bays near each other, each with different atmosphere. The sandy beach is lovely, mild, pleasant, the opposite is full of large white pebbles (most around two feet large). Fantastic place to visit.. Mind the approach - the road is about 15 miles...More

We love the beaches of Western isles but this one was a hidden gem. Yes quite a drive with motorhome off Main road but well worth it. Well done North Harris Trust on your facilities gorgeous and well worth the £1 shower. Stunning!

Grab hold of the sick bag in the car/van for those of you with a weak stomach but once the twists and turns navigated on the single track road, the beach and its views are breathtaking. Shame weather was not great but still did not...More

Apologies for my delay. Scotland is pretty relaxed about camping. Can't imagine it will be a problem. Wind might however.
