Enjoyed passing an hour in this small museum. The fact it is held in a Thomas Telford church is wonderful but I was impressed by the history of the area, photos of bygone days, videos etc which all depicted what seemed to be a tough...More

I have been in museums big and small, national and local all around the world. This one is the worst. First and foremost the museum is a renovated church and the vast majority of this space is dedicated to the church period there's a handful...More

Thank you for your review and we are so sorry that we disappointed you. Our museum is run almost entirely by volunteers operating on a shoestring and relying on constant local fundraising. We’re constantly working to improve the museum and take all criticism seriously. The...More

For a distant visitor, there may be less of interest here than for a local as there is a lot of archival material. However, the main displays are well constructed and contain some interesting stories. There is an entry fee however and although it is...More

This is a delightful place to peruse the past and learn about the area. It's all contained in a Thomas Telford church which is quite delightful. The ladies are very knowledgeable and keen to pass on their passion to you.

A very nice surprise! Beautiful building and "kirkyard"; interesting information, particularly for newcomers in the region; and a special corner for kids, with museum related activities - my kids magically transformed themselves in "Mr and Mrs MacKey » wearing the costumes at their disposal. On the...More

I've been in the museum a few times and it has changed over this time, recently having a new exhibition installed and generally updated. I liked it before when it was a lot less organised, but of course it wasn't so enticing then. Everything is...More

The lady was very informative and obviously loves what’s she’s doing. However we found that there was not a gear deal if information that was is any great interest. The one thing that could have been was the film that was shown upstairs, but with...More

Thank you for your review and we are so sorry that we disappointed you. We’re constantly working to improve the museum and indeed last year we had a major re-display which has received much praise. We have so much material about the history of Lochbroom...More

We dropped on this museum whilst exploring Ullapool. The lady on reception could not have been more informative and helpful. Her enthusiasm for the museum was a joy to see. Interesting and moving.
