Newton Stewart is a small town in south west Scotland. It has a nice high street to shop in or have a bite to eat. There is a river running along side that is nice to sit and watch. Busy little place worth a visit

We stopped off in Newton Stewart but found it rather 'down at heel' & tired. Little in the way of quality in both shops & cafes.

If you like walking and cycling it's a nice place, but other than that it's like a ghost town. Nothing really in the place, just a few cafes really. Not even any shops to look around.
