Great walk and views but very steep if you climb from Cromley. I suffer with slight vertigo and didn’t like the climb. We didn’t do the steep descent to Church Stretton but the more gentle descent back to Cardington which was fine. Next time we...More

Not an easy, though fairly short walk, as it is very steep but you will be rewarded with a fantastic ridge walk and panoramic views especially of the other local hills and the Wrekin. A place of real history - look out for Caractacs' cave...More

Make sure you are equipped with boots, waterproofs and a map or guide. Access in winter was via VERY muddy fields and tracks. Great views and an interesting historical connection with Caradoc / Caractacus.

The steep and windy site of a Roman fort. Southernmost ascent/descent is steeper and rougher than northern. In wet or icy weather, it's easier to walk south-to-north than vv.

We walked up to Caer Caradoc while we were on holiday in the area. You can still see the remains of the old hill fort with great views across the county and beyond

Quite a tough short assent but a good walk. Unfortunately it was cloudy so the view wasn't good but easy access from Church Stretton.

This is a must if in the area the views are brilliant, but it's quite a climb so get your walking boots on it will be worth it, even on a dull day it's great fun
