I have reviewed this place as an excellent gifts store in previous years and how sad it was to arrive this year to find that it is closing down in November 2020. I shall miss it greatly on our regular trips to Gairloch as I have always found items of clothing, local crafts and gifts here and it has always been such a lovely place to browse around. The family who have run it for many years have always provided such a friendly welcome. Thank you so much to them. One can only hope that someone will purchase the business who does such a great job in providing a needed facility for visitors.

What amazing gallery. My wife and friends loved this shop. Irene is local and a wonderful person. My wife said she would go back to Gairloch just to visit Irene’s shop. The paintings are wonderful. My wife highly recommends you visit. Irene’s jewellery is beautiful. What a talented pair Irene and her husband are.

This is such a superb shop and one of the highlights of Gairloch is browsing around in here. It was great to see it again after a year away. I always find some lovely things to tempt the purse! this year I bought two really nice tops, plus a sun hat for husband plus a gorgeous mouse door stop. The shop has so much variety - including clothing, ornaments, home ware, cards, soft toys, jewellery and authentic Scottish products. The staff are lovely and always happy to chat to visitors with no obligation to make purchases. Overall it is a welcoming, attractive and great shop on the Pier Road at the Harbour.

Just off the main road, on the pier road, next to the Coast Coffee Company. Disappointing close on Monday when we arrived in Gairloch ... but the window display (and proximity to Coast Coffee) told me that we'd be back to visit in the morning.
I'm not a great fan of gift shops aimed at tourists, but this place is thoughtfully stocked with a wide range of local products and tat-less gifts. It's the sort of place where you stumble across the perfect present to stash away for the next birthday/Christmas for that oh-so-hard-to-buy-for relative!
Of course they stock NC500 products, and being part way round, rather than near the start/finish I'm in a better frame of mind to consider them! Though we did overhear that the NC500 organisations stops producing gifts and t-shirts in the early autumn, leaving places like this unable to re-stock until spring - surely this will change as the popularly of the route grows and more people continue to visit beyond September.
Lovely, friendly lady running the shop. No pressure at all, lots of time to browse in comfort then have a nice chat before you move on (and not without nipping next door for a drink and a snack, and another chance to drink in those views).

Well, here we are back again after another year away and delighted to report that The Treasure Chest is still as good and well worth visiting. I can always find something here as a momentum of visiting this lovely area. You will find clothing, hats, ornaments, jewellery, gifts of all sorts, cards and more besides. The people who run it are really friendly and overall it is just a very pleasant place to browse around with no pressure to purchase.

Lovely to be back browsing in this lovely shop after a year away. It was as fascinating as ever, with many different things to enjoy looking at with the range including clothing, cards, jewellery, soft toys, ornaments, works of art and many souvenirs of Scotland. It is very well named as a Treasure Chest. It is great that the range of goods remains wide yet every year I can find something different to purchase as a souvenir or a gift. The staff are really welcoming and friendly and you can go in for a browse or a chat without pressure to purchase. There is ample parking space within easy walking distance and a great cafe next door.

Stopped in here and were pleasantly surprised at the range of unique gifts and jewellery. Different to the usual range of keyrings, personalised pens, and toys. Worth a visit!

I have been visiting this shop on the Pier Road for several consecutive years and never fail to find something interesting to purchase. There is a fascinating array of good on sale including greetings cards, souvenirs of Gairloch and Scotland, woolen goods, bags, clothing, ornaments, works of art and more besides. The lady who serves is extremely friendly and helpful and one can browse without feeling under pressure to make purchases. This is a gift shop definitely to be recommended. There is plenty of parking space on the road too.
