About Harwich Mayflower Heritage Centre
The Harwich Mayflower Heritage Centre is being established as a legacy for Essex. It will be part of a national and international commemoration of the Mayflower story. Working with local, national and international partners we will highlight the significance of the Mayflower’s part in creating the special relationship between our nations; a relationship that transforms communities, provide cultural, business and visitor links; explores the different sides of the story; and celebrate the people and places of this epic pioneering tale.

Excellent start to a worthwhile project, volunteers very keen to complete the project, it just lacks the funds at present to continue. A visit to the station is well worth it, it is being rebuilt as if it were in use in the 1920's.

An interesting and informative way to spend at least two hours. A very worthwhile project to support. A lot of work and coordination is going into this project to bring it to fruition for the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower.

The Mayflower ship project is in its early stages but already the rail station (which houses some exhibits) is more welcoming. A former railway goods shed has been saved and converted into workshops. The replica Mayflower is just beginning outside. Offcuts of oak are being...More
