This market may be small but it packs a punch!! So many various vendors and different items! Fresh produce, fresh baked goods, fresh fish, fresh everything. Market was free.

I visited saffron walden in March, loved it and moved here a couple of weeks later. It's such a lovely place, full of life and charm

Fresh food buyers are able to purchase fish, bread, sausages, fruit & veg, olives, cheese and cured meats. Fresh flowers and ground coffee too. There are also whole foods, shoes, scarves, and vintage stalls. When free of the current scaffolding the market square looks good...More

Saffron Walden has had a market since 1141. It's not a big one, but has atmosphere. As it was Christmas time there was the added bonus of a Christmas tree and lights. Of course nearby you will find restaurants, hotels and pubs.

Yes, there’s flowers, fish, meat, olives and herbs/sauces, coffee,bread and cakes, fermented vegetables and a few random others like clothes.
