We had a wonderful walk, over 3 hours, very informative about the area, the fossils and how to find them! Our 8 year old loved it, as did we. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful coastline.

Nigel has clearly done this a fair few times before. We started with Nigel explaining the history of Mary Anning a prominent local. About the various types of fossils we were likely to find, and how they relate to the dinosaurs themselves. After a brief...More

We could not have picked a worse weather day for a fossil walk but Nigel kept on top of the forecast & moved our walk to a drier part of the day. Nigel’s intro talk (with Jurassic examples) was perfect to interest for our 11...More

Great walk led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader. Found several fossils which were then identified for me. Really enjoyable day out which lasted beyond the expected 3 hours.

We got the back about 10am and hired a hammer for 3quid which we didn't take back until 4pm!! Time just flew by! There's a huge range of hunters from families to solo collectors, cheap and fun, highly recommended!

I believe they do take place most days. It's tide dependent. ( low tide required). And we were told the best finds happen in Jan/Feb on wet and windy days. Check out the museum website or call for dates. There are plenty of... More
