Overview
More
The Garden House is a 10 acre series of garden rooms, each planted differently, for seasonal interest. Visitors love the planting styles, 16th century ruins, bright colours and far reaching views over wild flower meadows. Children can roam free and find hidden corners and explore trails and trees. It is a wonderful place for garden enthusiasts, walkers and family visits. The tea room in the main house is renowned for freshly made treats and light lunches. A healthier options menu is very popular. Plants sold onsite at our well stocked plant centre are often propagated from the garden, so you will find interesting and unusual varieties that aren't commonly available elsewhere.

Came back after a break of nearly 8 years. It’s open daily from March to October inclusive. Surprised to find so many cars when we turned in off the road although this ten acre space can absorb very many. It cost just under £18 for...More

My daughter took me to The Garden House as a birthday surprise. Even on a cloudy day in early May, it was a delight. The café could have a better range and we did wait for quite a while. However, batteries charged in the café,...More

In the late Spring the magnolias, camellias and azaleas are wonderful. However, it is easy to see that this garden will be superb at every time of the year. Some of the paths are wheelchair/buggy friendly and it's a great place to explore. The tea...More

An amazing garden with plenty to see throughout the year, plenty of paths between the beds giving excellent access. Main pathways are wheel chair friendly. The cafe offers a good selection of meals and good tea and coffee.More

Thank you for the review Rob. It's good to see that you've picked up on the access. The gardening team have worked hard over the last few winters to make even more of the ten acres of garden accessible and it's nice to read that...More

Giles, thank you for the review. I just made the mistake of reading it whilst I feel was feeling hungry - now I'm going to have to pop into the tea rooms and see what cakes are being made today!

This is a world class garden, hidden away and quite hard to find, but well worth the effort to discover it. Really well maintained with a leading head gardener.

Love, this garden house. They not only have a fantastic view. But the tea rooms now serve Sunday lunch. Good portions, small and large, generous amount of veggies for the people at table. This has to be one to visit, good food and fabulous scenery.
