Started with a sandwich whilst waiting for the guided tour. The portions were big enough to feed two! The house was unusual and our guide kept us interested enough through the tour of 1.25 hours. The gardens are an interesting insight into what a long...More

Interesting place to look around. Great guided tour which takes a good hour. The garden were beautiful full of bluebells and wild garlic. They have a small cafe if you want to sit and have a coffee.

They were making a film when we visited but still worth going to, quirky inside, lovely guide who was very interesting to listen to

A pleasant house, still lived in by the owners. They do tours by guide only but the lady we were shown round by was friendly and informative. A feast for anyone with a hunger for history.

Visited here earlier this week. Very informative and the guide was great. Loved the deer park and the grounds. Really beautiful. Also after the tour, we had tea and cake. The carrot cake was to die for! Thanks for a great afternoon.

We only went for the Cornish Cream Tea so cannot comment on the house and gardens. The food and service was great and you can look across the road at the deer.

We enjoyed excellent lunchtime sandwiches in the café then joined a tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Afterwards we strolled round the gardens to view some of the inspired restoration work.

We only visited the gardens as we had our dog with us who is not allowed in the house. Paid £4 entry fee and I would say this was about right. Lovely gardens; some formal bits and other bits more woodland. Some lovely artwork/statues. Was...More
