What amazing scenery, views that stretch for miles across golden sandy beaches. You can walk for miles from Culleenamore right across Strandhill beach and then across the dunes and over to Killaspugbrone beach. The views are amazing and if we were garanteed Summer Sunshine you...More

We didn’t have a lot of time in Sligo so I was glad we went here it was beautiful. The ice cream place was great and it was nice to walk along the water.

Beautiful beach for a sunset walk, or surf. Surf was pretty tame in late November. There are hiking trails that are accessed via the beach.

Took a walk here with my boyfriend. Not much dry sand but late in the year we visited. Great for a walk. Plenary of shops, pubs and restaurants about. Also a surf school if you wanted to learn to surf.

This place is not a beach as we know it. No buckets and spades- just surfboards. It is great fun to stand on the promenade (which is much too short) and watch the surfers. Traffic can be hell here in a sunny sunday- beware.

Despite it being quite a chilly day, we really enjoyed walking along the path beside the beach. We did see some surfers as well. It was quite scenic with the ocean one way you looked and mountains in the distance the other way. I also...More

Yes, the beach near Strandhill is great (wonderful ice cream shop), but I think that Ross's Point is uncrowded, impressive, and safe. Also, check out some of the parks in Sligo, plus the downtown river walk is great.
