Such a lovely place around the lake, with excellent surfaces to allow us to cycle through the forest. We looped from the marina side and headed out to a peaceful point. Unfortunately some one had decided to leave their rubbish after them. Portumna is a...More

Loved our walks and runs in the forest park. Hot sunny weather helped. Walks from the marina were beautiful taking in the monastery and castle while the kids were fishing. Lovely in all weathers though. Much recommended

Lovely park. However the toilets are disgusting, no soap, terrible smell, urine leaking onto the floor. The disabled toilet is an absolute disgrace.

A credit to Portumna, not many places free of charge like this in the country. Beautiful scenery, lovely walks, big car park.

Was here and thought the castle would be more appealing to public, disappointed ,the tea rooms very expensive , latte and ordinary coffee over 6.10 cents very expensive

I love walking here, there is so much wildlife to see escpecially the Fallow deer. I would walk my mum's Border Collie, he would always spot the red squirrels in the trees. I always feel refreshed and relaxed after our walk

Gates close at 7pm as far as I remember and I didn't see any sign of that changing for the summer time but I could be mistaken.
