Quick tour that I booked last minute at a discount. Worth a look but it’s quick. Probably would do the ‘extreme’ tour if I had it to do again.

My first time in a lava tunnel and really enjoyed the sight as well as the informative tour. It’s very different from all the limestone caves I have seen all over the world

Thank you for your review, great to hear the perspective from someone who has been caving in different types of caves.

Make sure you book a slot on their website as this is the only option - the tours are pre-booked in advance, no option to pop in and join. I called them and they advised me to book online as they do not book over...More

Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes it is true that it can be hard to find but it is next to the road and the road authorities are putting up some better signs along the way.

The tour is definitely worth the price; very informative and shows a stunning lava tunnel. There isn’t a cafe so make sure to eat before going. Only down side being no directions or sat nav information ( making it difficult to locate).

Our family stopped here on a road trip to some other areas around the golden circle. Excellent tour! There was not enough availability in the next tour time so we bought tickets for later in the day and came back. Would recommend buying tickets ahead...More

My husband and I booked this online through trip advisor two days prior. They offer hourly tours lasting about 60 minutes. I wore Nike shoes and did fine. It is cool in cave so dress warm. Helmet and light provided, guide was awesome. We had...More

This was one of the first things we did after arriving in Iceland - it was fascinating- very cold in February lol but we loved it. So many interesting facts and just plain beautiful.

When we visited the place in July '17 and the only way to visit was with a guide. The entrance to the cave is blocked (unless you have a guide to unlock the entrance).
