I was in this quiet little town on a cruise and really wanted to find this amphitheater but it definitely wasn't obvious where to find it and few people we encountered spoke English. After a couple false starts and dead ends (literally), we found it...More

Completely abandoned site getting overgrown but of course it is free and you can wander at will. Nature is really starting to comsume the site it is difficult to get to now in years to come it will be completely lost.

A really small ancient theater completely abandoned by the state. It lies within the limits of the military camp of Gytheio! When you try to come closer to the theatre they start shouting at you.Total paranoid.Nothing more to see, just for a ride.

This small greek theatre is a great place to stop and tell the kids the story of Helen of Troy, as part of it happened around that area.

Well worth a visit if you're not too far away. A beautiful ancient amphitheater, with a nice small museum on the grounds. Good for an hour or two.

It would be nice to see this little theatre included in the revamp of the town that is going on. There is very little to see or experience as it is completely fenced off.

A well preserved ancient amphitheatre is one of the main landmarks of Gytheio. Is is located a little north of the main street of the town.
