We had a lovely 4 hours visiting the centre and thoroughly enjoyed the range of people and activities. It was a shame that many of the displays were a little limited on the day we were there - 14 July - but it didn’t really...More

This is an outstanding place to visit for anyone to learn about how the Vikings lived. The people who give tours and exhibit the different areas actually live on the attraction and work the farm or town in their special area. Children have the option...More

It wasn't cheap to get in but we really enjoyed our time watching the workers and taking part in some of the activities. It really is hand on and there is very little that you can't touch it sit on it even lie down on

The premise of this live museum is great in theory but in practice all you see of “villagers” aka actors aka volunteers is them sitting around talking amongst themselves and ignoring guests and only bothering to speak to you to check for tickets. It’s quite...More

We heard about the Viking market and went for Ribe. There we found out this market was at the museum instead in the city center. So to access the market you have to pay for entrance of the museum which is about €18 per person...More

Ok, it was closed (meaning that there is nobody at the entrance) but it was possible to go in. Nice representation of a Viking village, with animals (cows still present despite closed). Very nice buildings (but all closed). It is worth a visit, i will...More

This place was amazing! Our young kids loved being able to dress-up and participate in everyday Viking 'life'...we didn't get to cook, but they did everything else possible and still didn't want to leave! This place was far less crowded than Legoland, but so much...More

A great place to step back and be a Viking! Lots of activities were going on when we visited. Children were able to mint a coin, dress up in Viking armour and try some archery. There were demonstrations on the different aspects of Viking life....More

Our younger kids loved the activities and the interactions, the teenagers just waited it will end, it was good if the Viking center would address all ages, but currently it is not.
