About
Willow Beach Marina offers travelers lots of fun in the water between the sheer rock walls of the Black Canyon. Strategically located between Lake Mohave and Lake Mead on the Colorado River, it's a great place to rent a powerboat to enjoy the vast views and spot tons of wildlife, including big horn sheep. Kayaking to Emerald Cove to explore all the secluded beaches along the way is another favorite with travelers. You might want to camp overnight at the full-service RV park and tent campground as well. Willow Beach Marina is also only a short 30-minute drive from Boulder City. – Tripadvisor

Marina store employees and Marina employees were great. Reservation website was easy to use. Expect a $25 park entrance fee on top of your kayak/canoe/boat reservation. Beautiful area, clean park, nice facilities and a cafe for food. The Emerald Cave was good but realize: 1-you may wait for an hour to get in the cave and 2-if the sun is hidden by clouds your pictures will be less than perfect.

My husband and I booked a day of kayaking with a guide and group. We booked a tandem kayak but we had the option for individual kayaks if we had wanted to. Our guide was great and it was such a beautiful area. We went to emerald cave and just had so much fun. I would go again if I had the time this trip.

First time kayaking in Vegas area. So recommend taking this tour. Water was beautiful scenic and chilly enough to cool the skin. Our tour guide, Johnny was funny, engaging, and knew the land around him. He made the tour! Our interest in kayaking has peaked and will definitely trying again

A short drive from Las Vegas (or you can get a tour with transportation included) - it's a perfect spot to kayak Colorado river. The water is calm and relatively slow, the canyon protects from the winds. The Emerald Cove is the best known landmark, but, frankly, your chances to take that glowing green Instagram perfect picture is very low.

We rented a canoe from the marina for the day. Prices are not bad. You can also rent kayaks or boats. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time paddling to Emerald Cove and exploring the river and little beaches along the way.

Great time! Adam was our guide and did a wonderful job explaining everything and checking in on everyone. It was cool the day we went so I wish I knew to dress better. Your feet get wet and our arms did too from paddling. It was a peaceful, beautiful experience.

This day started with "Let's turn down here" We had stopped at the Hoover Dam earlier and we kept seeing these side roads and hills along the way so we aimed the car and hit a toll booth to a park called Willows Beach.
About a half an hour past the Hoover Dam on the right is the road to the Marina.
So many cool things about this place. First is that one side of the river is Arizona the other is Nevada.
If you don't have a boating licence you can take the class before leaving for the day.
The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Made our day to be treated so warmly. You can tell they love working in paradise.
We chose the 4 hour rental and found it half price to what we spent on Lake Mead for 2 hours last vacation in this area.
Different boats but who cares it's the scenery you pay attention to.
While researching our vacation we wanted to hike to the natural hotspring in the White Rock Canyon /Lake Mead area but due to health reasons the hike was too difficult.
So when we get to mile marker 60 (pretty sure about this number) on the Colorado River in our rental boat we see the canyon entrance and a few people on the beach with bathing suits on. We didn't know you could access them this way.
We had stumbled on the hotspring and took the 5 minute walk to Arizona Hot Spring or also called Ringbolt Hot Spring.
5 minute walk through small slot canyons, with a trickle of water starting a minute in, at your feet to let you know you are headed the right way. Some rock crawling and finally a rusty ladder to climb up to the hot spring pools. Amazing. 8 or so other people there that day.
The river has tall rocks either side and the sun poked in and out from behind them. Beautiful!
Has a cave and history in the walls along the way. Won't give it away, you'll just have to go see.
If you don't want the boat with the engine rent the kyacks or canoes.

Great Marina to go to, a lot of people and a few tour companies but not overly packed. You want to get there as early as possible I would say 8:00 is a good time. There aren't many spots to BBQ with tables those fill up quick. If you're renting kayaks, boats or paddle boards you want to get there early for that as well and make the most out of you're day. There is an entrance fee daily $25 or they also have $45 annual pass and that also lets you get into the other areas such as Lake Mead.
Willow Beach is about an hour away from Las Vegas straight shot on new fwy 11. The turn off from the fwy down to Willow Beach isn't the best road make sure to have a full tank of gas and decent tires. Cell phone service is really bad something to keep in mind. There is a place to eat and a store to buy drinks and snacks. Great day trip!

Really enjoyed the day. Kayak started leaking about an hour from marina. Had to bail 4 times. When returned Willow Beach marina manager would not give refund, stating I should have returned for different kayak. I was already 2 and a half miles down river. If I had returned most of the day would have been over. The river is gorgeous, but disappointed in customer service. I was told all kayaks were inspected and in good shape.

How far is Arizona Springs from the Marina? Is it possible to navigate out and back with the kayak rental?

Is there a restaurant of any kind at the Marina / campground? Does the store sell items to make dinner with such as meat, bread, vegetables?
Thanks in advance ~

There is a Grill at the Marina. No meat bread or vegetables. However there is a grocery store 30 minutes away in Boulder City.
