The hike from Baños to the casa del árbol is quite nice. But the place itself is rather disappointing. Not much more than a playground with a restaurant. View is great but for that you don't need to go there. Entrance only 1,50$ though...

We were on the road trip, Guayaquil, Baños de Ambato, Pailón del Diablo, Rio verde, Volcán Tungurahua, La casa del arbol and so on.... Nice temperature for a change, little bit higher in the mountains.....chilled out from Guayaquil heat and humidity. Amazing nature, great waterfalls,...More

What a beautiful view you get as you swing off the side of a mountain. The place is well maintained and with a visit. If you go by cab ask your driver to wait to bring you back. It could be hard to find a...More

How often do you get on a swing that goes over cliff with not much holding you back from falling down to an abyss? Definitely not common but at "Las Casa Del Arbol" in Banos it is possible to experience this adrenaline rush. About 20-25...More

Four of us rented a small 4x4 to visit Casa Del Arbol. From the photos we had seen we expected a lone tree house with a swing and great views. The views are good but not worth the price of renting anything to get up...More

Awesome swing ride, also excellent place to see volcano Tungurahua as this is also the location of a seismic monitoring station. We also saw hummingbirds while up here. The views are spectacular.

I know they were open at 10 a.m. during the week, but not how long. But it must be until 6 p.m. since I was told the last public bus leaves up there at 6... Better double check in Baños!
