We arrived in El Calafate at 8am and immediately rented bikes to see the coastline of the city. We drove around 38 km and we saw Lago Argentino from pretty much all angles. Absolutely beautiful!!

Lake Argentino makes for an incredible landscape! It is a huge lake with looks different depending on where you see it. Snow mountains, icebergs floating, flamingos here and there, waters of amazing bright blue color.

I've never seen anything like the water of Lago Argentino; its opacity and turquoise color are enchanting. It's a really beautiful and peaceful walk along the shores of Lago Argentino or a boat ride to one of the nearby glaciers.

By the maria turquesa boat, you are almost for the full day over there, still you can not sail the complete lake. The lake is beautiful duw to the spectacular views of the glaciers and ice bergs.

Great place to hang around. Take photos of the pink flamingoes and watch both kids and adults doing some ice skiing, and of course, the guys with 4x4s doing their thing on the edges.
