The base is full of good stores, restaurants and activities. It is bigger than any other in South America. They lifts are OK, they have gondola, cable car, 2, 4, 6 pax. They have tubing, Snowbike, and good restaurants spread on the mount .
I have skied all over the world. That said, my expectations were low for Catedral (based on everything I read and the limited reviews) but I found the resort excellent!!!!

Large mountain with lots of lift and intermediate tracks. Many places to eat and drink, and a large base with many shops. Snow was kind scarce when i was there (1st week of August) and it was not possible to ski from top to base....More

If you like to ski or have snow fun, Catedral is the place. For a South American snow resort it is very well equipped, with all levels slopes, School for Kids and Adults.
Good structure for both Skiing and Snowboard.
This is a very good ski center. The only albeit is the base; it got little to no snow. Now, once you are up there, don't bother to go down. You have great restaurants up there. You can have good plate of pasta and a...More

it's reliable as far as the schedule goes, it has services every half hour. About the seat, it depends really. If you get to the stop early you are guaranteed to get one, at least in the morning. In the afternoon (around 5pm, when the ski centre closes) the bus is packed but you can get a seat if you are there at about 4:30 or so.
