This is an excellent museum. We enjoyed learning about high altitude mummification! I had no idea about the subject and it was a real educational experience about Inca human sacrifice.

I don't particularly rush off to see museums, but this one is fully dedicated to the children of the volcano. I had read about this discovery of the three children who are not like Egyptian mummies. The bodies are not dessicated. You can still see...More

We knew nothing about the 3 frozen Inca children discovered on top of a mountain in Argentina, but this small museum does a great job in telling their story. Be sure to watch the short video when you enter which re-creates the discovery and gives...More

It’s small but seeing the children’s mummy is completely worth it. It’s all very well self explained in big boards and it doesn’t take long to go around. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit if they want to get more into the Inca culture.

This museum hosts 3 mummies found in the vulcano close by Salta. It explains very well how they were found and they are the best preserved mummies in the world, since it is so cold up there. It was really impressive to see (one of)...More
