A lot of people have already written about the day so I don’t think that I need to repeat the agenda and although I am not a train enthusiast and it is not my top pick for the area but I am glad I did...More
The bus start from the old train station 12 blocks walking from the main square. Leaving 7 am it was still dark and cold. Our first stop was outside Salta were the old steam locomotive was. There are also some locals trying to sell there...More
I would not say the scenery encountered in this tour tops my list especially if one compares the scenery along the route 68 between Salta and Cafayate, or the route 52 going from Purmamarca to the Chilean San Pedro de Atacama. However, visit to San...More
What a great and informative ride. A few years back, this attraction consisted of a very long (over 12 hours) trip from Salta to the Andes. If you are a train lover, then great, but other than that, you´d be stuck inside a train for...More
I took the Train to the Clouds while visiting Salta as part of a conference. Construction was taking place so we were put into motor coaches for several hours to get to a train station The buses made several stops along the way for photos....More

Sadly a lot of wasted potential. We did this tour on April 15th 2017 and in contrast to older reviews, the train does not start anymore in Salta. Instead we got two four hour long bus tours to San Antonio de los Cobres and back...More

Best is you check on their website. The schedule on there is realiable. But you really have to be quick with booking the tickets. I tried booking from abroad onlie, but their website at the time did not accept my CC. I asked them why and they and they said they would only accpet locally issued card. Hope they changed that. I then called them up and we did the reservation over the phone.
