To avoid traffic and crowds, best to visit in the Spring and Fall. I took a local Tour Bus that included wine tasting and a snack. Beautiful view of the lake.

take Bach road on north side of Villa Carlos Paz and drive 30 minutes to the dam ( El Dique). Lots of vistas and view points to stop and look. You can completely circle the lake back to Villa Carlos Paz in under 2 hours...More

We just returned from Villa Carlos Paz. YES......it is April and out of season for lake activities. The areas we walked around town were dirty and smelly. Perhaps further away there ARE beautiful areas to water ski,surf,kayak,canoe or sail. But I would imagine it is...More

Beautiful place, not so far away from the city centre (that is rather ugly). Great place to hang out with friends, to sit down and relax watching the river and mountains
