Always worth a visit when in Olhao. Gets busy on mass days. Still a well maintained whitewashed building with character. Although the big nests were visible I didn’t actually see any storks this time - a pity as this is their spiritual home.

Enjoying history and all the landmarks in Faro, this is definitely one not to be missed, very beautiful in the Old Town near the marina with a nice square surrounding it.

Went there recently to hear a choral group on Saturday. Rammed with people and the group were really, really good. The Mayor was there and gave a speech which sounded good.

The church where the fishing community gathers to celebrate the living - baptisms, weddings, confirmations, and fishing festivals. Services to mourn or remember the dead including those lost at sea are held next door in the funerary chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora dos Aflitos.
