What an amazing experience. Deirdre was kind and helpful. She made sure I had a wonderful time. My horse was such a gentleman. Suitable for any level rider from beginner to advanced. I got to see lots of different types of "bucks", giraffe and zebra. I was lucky enough to spot a Blue Crane as well. Definitely recommend going on this adventure.

This was the best way to spend an afternoon ever. You MUST book if you’re in Cape Town or Stellenbosch.

Lovely well mannered horses that are beautiful and really like attention. And the guides know everything and are super friendly and care about the horses and the animals on the ranch.

1 Million percent recommend. I would give ten stars if I could!

We absolutely loved it! Despite our last riding experiences being quite long ago, our guides did a fantastic job to quickly get us back on the horse! We had a lovely ride through the close-by game reserve and got very close to the animals! Personally, we found it to be much more intimate than our previous Safari experiences by car! Would absolutely recommend and will make sure to stop by again!

We have just had a lovely morning riding just outside Stellenbosch. The horses were so well behaved (a good thing as this was my first ever ride and my wife's first in many years!), the ride itself was very interesting, we saw some nice game (giraffe with babies, zebra, 4 types of springbok, bontebok, nutty black wildebeest, gemsbok, eland) and birds (owls, blue crane, lots of water birds). Deidre and her assistant Yanga struck the perfect balance between keeping us safe/letting us get to know the individual horses. We did a 90 minute ride starting at 9.30am. Would highly recommend. We booked by calling Deidre a few days beforehand.

One of the best things I've done around cape town. If you love horses and nature, this is not to be missed. Saw a lot of game and was almost in the middle of the action with them, many giraffes also. Lovely ms Deirdre took good care of us on the day.

First of all wow, what an amazing experience, both the guides were very knowledgeable about the animals and the lands and answered questions to the best of their knowledge. I did have a little trouble with my horse always eating grass but diedre was quick to help and there after was a dream to ride.

It was a little hard to get hold of them to book a ride but once I found out she was only one handling the bookings and also busy out riding I understood why it was difficult to do. (it took a month of my partner and I trying forgetting about it and trying again)

It was absolutely worth the wait, me being the beginner rider of the group felt comfortable riding in the middle far ways from the front and back, left me alone to soak up my surroundings and first ever experience of seeing African animals, the animals seem to see the horse and not the human on the horse so they allow you a respectful distance away from them, and on our way back to the start we encountered a tortoise that 2 of the horses had to sniff and the one licking it. My sweet boy Jonah was eager to get home or catch up to the front horses began to trot slightly but felt comfortable and in control still and was easy to rectify him back into a walking speed.

The saddles used were so comfortable and well looked after. The majority of the horses were bitless, there were a few still working their way to the freedom of it.

I definitely recommended this to anyone that wants to see some of Africa's animals but don't have the money to go on a safari. Was the best money I've ever spent on a horse ride.

Booked a day before with Deidre who turned out to be a wonderful host and guide . With Yanga as her assistant they ensured we were comfortable and well looked after during the ride.

The trail is well planned and the animals easy to find near the dam. Giraffes, Waterbucks, Elands, Zebras, Springboks and a surprise tortoise on the return that my horse Salt licked its shell.

Was also given an option to canter back to end the ride that I did with Yanga.

Picturesque scenes of the Stellenbosch mountain in the backdrop that was the highlight of my little riding safari adventure.

Highly recommended and great value for money.

What a treat and the only way to view game, from a true 4x4
We got to see Fish Eagle, giraffe, eland including babies, zebra and even a dancing demo by daddy for their youngster by the resident blue crane family.
The mountain views, including Table Mountain, were spectacular in the cool crisp morning light.
We were a mix of experienced and inexperienced riders with Deidre accommodating both levels by letting us split up after the game tour and taking care of the less experienced while the rest went off and had a little fun on a separate route back. All I can say is "a big smile and double thumbs up" experience was had by all.
The horses are so amazing you hardly need the reigns and there was no fuss made at all about separating.
I will definitely be back.
Thank you Deidre for stunning little horses and a brilliant morning out.

Just had the best morning of my South Africa trip so far; just seen giraffe, springbok, zebra, wildebeest and blue heron whilst on a horse ride just outside stellenbosch. With mountains in the distance (including table mountain) this is the most perfect taste of South Africa. Our guide Deirdre is relaxed, charming and knowledgeable. Can't recommend this enough. Huge thanks to her. Wd recommend you take water, snacks and a jacket in case it gets cooler.
