I visited Marianne Wine Estate with my wife, 3 year old and my father. The visit was a very personal experience with a wonderful, friendly host, Ciscar. It was fairy quiet at the time with a casual, relaxed vibe. Seated outside at a large family table with half-sun, we settle down to a delightful wine tasting with a cheese and... More

I was driving on the R44 and decided to turn to Marianne Wine estate by curiosity. I found a very lovely place, nestled on the slope of the hill. I took the wine tasting with a plate of biltong. I had a great service and very good explanation about the wine farm and everything. The view is amazing, the wine... More

We were there a day after our wedding on 26 March. We arrived a bit early (wine tasting is only from 11am). They helped us anyway and was really friendly. We enjoyed the view, the lovely wines and the vibe from the staff. We had a very friendly guy that helped us (I regret not taking his name). We would... More

This place is an absolute favourite of mine! They have the best, full bodied wines accompanying their biltong and cheese platters. The staff are friendly and quite knowledgeable of wines. They also offer online ordering as well, so no matter where in the world you are, you are able to spoil yourself! The only thing that tops both the fantastic... More

There are not many wine estates that get a perfect 5 stars from us, but the excellent quality of their wines, phenomenal service and overall experience deserves a 5 star rating from us.

Some of the best wines I've had the pleasure of tasting in quite a while. French-style blends on South African vineyards: what is not to absolutely devour?! Subtle and sophisticated wines presented by passionate, knowledgeable people in a small setting with ample sun. PS Their red has been served to both The Queen of England and the late Mr Mandela.... Visited as part of a wine tour .when we arrived we were surprised by the state of the tasting area in felt hollow and echoey. The wines we tasted were not very good ,only the flag ship one hit the spot . Compared to Simonsig and Delheim it's not worth going . And it's so expensive at 60 rand per... More

Dear Anonpeo, I was alerted to your review yesterday and truth be told, we are dejected at the farm to receive a 1 star rating - a first for us. An absolute disaster for the team and in light of the efforts put in, climbing to such heady heights on the Tripadvisor site. I must commend your tour guide/operator on... More
