We visited Bilton at the end of a 3 stop winery tour, The best was saved for last, I am not a great choolate lover, but the pairings worked exceptionally well. We purchased a couple of wines which we look forward to sampling!!

We visited Bilton as part of the Vine Hopper and our last winery on that hop on-off tour. Bilton was definitely a great last visit on our tour - great and attentive service (the winery is smaller than the larger wineries). We did the chocolate and wine pairing - highly highly recommend! The wine was great but the pairing with... More

Both the wines and the farm are understated, captivating and tasteful ! The 2010 Matt Black wine sells for R85 which must make it the bargain of a lifetime. Do make a stop here while travelling along Anandale Rd...

Very beautiful wine estate, wonderful wine heritage, but we were one of the last customers half an hour after closing time when our wine tasting host was very rude and abrupt to get us out... this is not what I see as customer service even though you are the last customers...created very bad impression of an excellent wine

A last-minute pitstop on our way back from Haskell led us to this gem. We did the wine and chocolate pairing and everything was superb. The young chap who told us everything from the Cape's pirate history to where the chocolate was sourced and the recommendations on the wine, was knowledgeable and nice. Although our favourite tasting had sold out,... More

I am fairly knowledge about wines having lived in the Napa valley area and have had other wine and chocolate pairings. The difference here was that the chocolate has been specifically crafted to pair with specific wines - and what a difference it made. Good pairings change the taste of each component and that was true for those presented. Loved... More

The chocolates are individually crafted to suit each particular wine. Exceptionally good chocolate and wine pairing in a rustic, relaxed environment.

Whilst the adults sampled a pairing of chocolates and wines, the children sampled chocolates. Inevitably one of them did not like the dark chocolate provided but was supplied with some milk chocolate. The wine and chocolate pairing was new to us and surprisingly enjoyable. Everything was fully explained and some of the wines were very good, so much so that... More

Chocolate & wine tasting. An extremely knowledgable guide/host who knew his history. Very nice setting, we enjoyed the smaller/boutique wine farm experience/ this visit was rated the best of the day by our group.
