On Sunday, 03 April 2016, a group of friends suggested wine tasting at Delheim, with the name sounding slightly familiar (because of their Grand Reserve), I was eager to check it out. Firstly, the trip to get there was an incredible adventure through autumn coloured trees and vineyards and views that are just too beautiful for words. Nestled right at... More

This was one of the 5 farms we visited. The farm is lovely and cosy. We had the wine tasting in their cellar and the rose is perfect. Bought 1 box.

This quaint, beautiful estate embraces one with superior service, charm and elegance. A fabulous setting on the beautiful slopes of Simonsberg in the Stellenbosch area, you are transported to calmness in awesome surroundings. The cellar where the winetasting takes place is cool in the heat of summer, and the wines are fantastic! The staff are well trained, and understand their... More

Delheim offers award winning wine and gourmet food at a truly affordable price. The views from the garden restaurant are breathtaking and this venue showcases the best that Stellenbosch has to offer. Our group of ten had booked lunch and despite being peak tourist season, the service and food was superb. The wine was worthy of all the accolades that... More

The excursion was planned beautifully – from tasting wine grapes, to seeing wine making process and hearing interesting details of wine maturing, bottling and export geography. The tasting itself was in a very atmospheric cellar, we were given very good information both on wine production and characteristics of the wines we tasted. There were several hitches, though. There was not... More

For people who like visiting wine cellars and doing fine wine tasting, Delheim is an excellent bet. They were one of the pioneers of winery visits in the region (back in the early 70's). The wine visit with August was specially good. A good and serious medium to big size winery. In the six glasses tasting, try the Chenin Blanc,... More

Great service, top-class wine paired to delightful meals. Wonderful garden setting with useful info on wines provided by the wine advisor who remains on hands throughout the afternoon. One gets the feeling like you are welcome to hang around until you're ready to leave....there appears to be no time limit on how long you occupy your table. Service is swift... More

Our host August was delightful. He reminded me of old world charm. A true wine connoisseur, a vast knowledge of wine and of the estate. A marvellous estate, with excellent wine. The reserve is really something special.

We loved delheim. They have awesome quality wines. You pay a little more but it is worth it. Beautiful wine cellar tasting area and they also have a really cool gift shop which is worth a browse. Service from August was also very good. Will be back
